How do you know you shouldn't be losing that damage?
Maybe the designer left that in there in order to balance out the auto-reset and tone down DPS Trundles who were building too much damage.
Looking at
Trundle as a champion, this sort of problem is not really a problem anyway.You shouldn't be building much attack speed in the first place because he's a tanky-dps anti-carry, it's not his forte to be focused on.
