No, the stacks will only apply on the minion on which you used the Q

a couple of things:
  • Renekton should be in matchups
  • I know everyone loves Sunfire Aegis but, besides disliking it, I think there are more worthwhile options if against heavy AD.
  • Boots of Swiftness should be considered as an option if you have to do a lot of chasing
  • I always either buy Enchantment: Distortion or Enchantment: Alacrity. Homeguard is never a top choice for me.
  • you should mention that if the adversary is pushing you against your turret, you are probably on the best place, because Nasus farms really well under turret
  • I understand Warmog's Armor is not the most atractive item right now, but you don't even mention it.
  • I sometimes don't mind skipping Spirit Visage for a while and leave myself with just a Negatron Cloak
  • I NEVER max Spirit Fire first, even if thinking to splitpush. Fortunately I usually can get a Ravenous Hydra for that effect (I understand it is expensive, but Spirit Fire is not cheap)
  • any Nasus should Q everything they have in sight, never be idle, always farming something, even your jungler's jungle, provided he isn't starved.
  • I have been maxing Spirit Fire before Wither, especially if i'm forced to trade, even more if i'm being pushed against, because it feels the armor shred has more influence than the AS debuff early
  • your marks are quints here

this list is open to debate. :P

Hi, I really liked your guide, I've been playing a lot of nasus for quite some time and I'm always curious to see how other people build him.

For exemple I almost always choose boots of swiftness over merc/tabi, because I like to play a dog who can run (with trinity your lategame movespeed is just awesome, nobody can escape when you pop ghost !).

There is just one point on which I disagree : teemo. I completely wreck teemos with nasus (maybe I never faced a good one but...)yes I agree it's pretty hard ... pre-6 ! I start with doran's shield or null magic mantle, and just hug my tower till I'm 6. As soon as I reach lvl 6, I wait till he plants his first shroom (usually in a bush) and I go all in on him, pop wither/E/R and Q him to death. I always almost end up killing him, and then it's just rinse and repeat (because you can buy an early spectre's cowl with the kill gold).

The teemo's are usually overconfdent against nasus, and as you play the tamed dog leashed to his tower, they usually don't expect you to bite them in the nuts as soon as you're 6.

Anyways it's just my opinion on this matchup, and as I said I certainly never faced really good teemos (I'm pretty low ELO).

Thanks again for your hard work on this guide (and on your other guides as well btw)

I love your guide Jhoi! In fact it was the first guide I used when I started playing LoL. I was just hoping to see you add some things to your guide that I've found helpful in my experience. In the masteries section I would include alternate set ups for aggressive sustain and the AD set up. For the Aggressive sustain I take 18 in defense and focus on getting to perseverance and then in utility getting the 3 points in vampirism. Runes would hybrid pen marks, flat armor seals, scaling MR Glyphs and then life steal Quints. With a Doran’s Shield you are near invincible in lane against most AD tops. The other set up would get the 9 points in offense and 21 Defense. The focus here is to grab the CDR and get a little more damage for last hitting minions. Runes I run are hybrid pen Marks, flat armor Seals, 6 CDR glyphs 3 scaling MR Glyphs and life steal Quints. The extra defense gives you the tankiness to mitigate early game harass and the 10% CDR right off the bat means more SS to stack. It is a bit more aggressive and less sustainable but I have won lanes against Riven's and Irelia's with it. Also the Hybrid marks make your spirit fire hurt more and are actually stupid strong on Nasus.
Another thing is to think about adding a null-magic mantle as a starting item. While not ideal in most cases but grabbing it early against AP harass champs such as Vlad and Teemo it can be life savors with an aggressive sustain set up. Plus you can build it into a Maw or Malmortius which really isn't bad on Nasus. I know most people only like one offensive item but the magic resist and shield makes Nasus Tankier than you think and can give you the extra teeth you need to shred your opponent quicker. Last thing would be to add some more situational items. Last whisper is always an excellent choice but BotRK, Ravenous Hydra, Blood Thirster and Youmuu's Ghost blade in certain situations are all very strong 5th or 6th items. I know most would yell Tank Nasus only but the fact is he is a melee fighter and AD is pretty damn good on him as well as LS, Armor Pen and Critical Chance in late game phases. Overall I love your guide and would love to see it go back to the top.

You're welcome to say whatever you like, OTG. I still encourage comments if people wish to leave them. I've answered questions about Nasus multiple times in the 66 pages of discussion here, and I'm bound to answer the same questions again over time ^^

Can I re-iterate that all the points in the last couple pages have already been addressed?

I welcome all comments, OTG. It's interesting to hear the opinions of people regarding different facets of Nasus gameplay, such as counters, rune/mastery/item choices etc. Every comment is helpful in someway, especially when I can build upon an opinion or provide explanations as to why I don't agree.

Can we just stop this? The same points keep getting brought up and it's getting old.
