Janna is the strongest if they support player is good, kinda like Nyph.
Otherwise, I would have to say either sona or alistar. Altho I see SOOO many bad alistars.

Janna hands down, she's just a huge pile of utility for your team.on the other hand
Sona and Taric so damn easy mode compared to her (a dumbass that can't use sona's passive correctly will still be able to look decent, and taric has poinclick stun plus he's tanky plus he's got tanky aura, he's just so damn easy to use)

I think it comes down to individual player skill when using supports to be honest.
Generally speaking Janna is the best if the player is high skill. She requires no gear for her disabling and such, and thusly is the most "Tailor made" to supporting.
After her it's all really situational. Sona is great, Alistar is very good, Soraka can be a free lane in some cases, and her ult is very good if she gets a few assists and a couple dragons or a baron. Taric is Taric, always and forever, strong lanes, nice buffs. His effects are harder to notice but he's strong. Kayle requires more skill than any other support to play well I think. Her ultimate needs to be used in ANTICIPATION of damage. If you use it too early, the player will save his spells and wait out the ult before dropping in the damage. If you do it too late, they will already have taken the damage.
So yeah, my opinion, Janna is best, and all of the other supports have their places and are strong.
