Argonians > Every other race put together :D
+rep me and you'll get good karma, wich means you won't be reincarnated into a rock! Isn't that awesome?

But yes this idea has been discussed more than Pam Anderson's tits in a plastic surgeons office.
I'm Xenasis, and I'm a Night Elf Mohawk.
Owait, wrong game.
I'm a Redguard warrior I guess, picked it up today because I finally have money, and WOW IS IT GOOD. Going to specialise in Two Handed weaponry - with a hint of Alteration magic for buffs and that. Power Attacks (or whatever they're called) using the Stamina bar hit SO damn hard, I even have some gloves with +15% two hander damage on them. Yay.
I love this game so much though.

It's the "Thieves Guild" storyline set of quests. Actually qute long and fun ^_^
Dark Brotherhood gives you an undying horse of super fastness
I felt the Companions, though entertaining, was a rather short set of quests with the reward being....Well early game. Which is fine, you're right that Skyforge stuff is BA for a bit. BUT the real money is in leveling smithing, then you can craft some epic tier skyforge stuff ^_^
I haven't actually finished any of the questlines yet, I'm just saying the Companions line gives you some neat stuff really early into the series without you having to do much. :P
As far as I can tell levelling Smithing is easy, I just buy iron ingots and leather thingies from the Skyforge guy and then Smith like 30 iron daggers, enchant them with **** tier soul gems and then sell them back to him for more or less the same money I paid for the equipment I used up.
Oh and Skyrim is game of the year easily, possibly even game of the decade. :D
I'd recommend staying away from the main ques-tline for a bit. Knock out a lot of the other stuff, I'd also recommend leveling the **** out of lock picking. It will make your life a lot easier.
As well, when you go into the bunkhouse for the champions (downstairs) I'd suggest buying ~40 or so lock picks wherever you can find them and trying your hand at the display cases when the companions aren't around.
Elven Warhammer in Kodlacks room I think and an Elven bow in Aeola's. Those 2 items will carry you to very late in the game.
As well help out the Jarl of Whiterun I think (Dragon's Reach is where he lives) so you can become his Thane and get a Housecarl (mine was Lydia). Take her questing with you, keep her safe, she'll carry all the dragon bones/ dragon scales you loot from dragons. They weigh 15/10 lbs respectfully and fetch a great price at a general goods merchant.
Basically it's a ***** and a half to lug all your cool stuff around....And with the only thing increasing your carry capacity being enchanted items or pickpocketing perk tree (not a very good skill set to put points in IMO) you'll be grateful to have her...
Oh I'm also an Archmage......XD

I'm already past Elven equipment, and I've been taking Lydia everywhere with me for quite some time now. I swear to god, first day I took her with me she saved my *** from dying at least three times. I also thought at the time she killed a dragon with a single arrow, since I didn't hit it at all. Another dragon flew over right afterward though, so I'm pretty sure the dragons were fighting each other beforehand or something.
Now I mostly just use her to tank stuff for me. :P

Breton>All...The amount of magic damage you run into early->Mid game...Even late, is substantial. So if you want to progress quickly rather than die at every engagement (almost 90% sure that dragon's use "magic" or their breaths I mean and being 50% resistant to that is B-A-ALLIN)

Elven Gear is always relevant for me XD, light weight and durable...Then again I used that damn bow for a long time until I stumbled across one that did a whopping 34 base damage.
