As of Monday, the 28th of November, Summoners will no longer be able to purchase 21 of the "more classic skins" from the League of Legends store. LOL's Marketing Manager said the decision was made to "make room for the next generation of awesome champion apparel". Read the full article which includes a list of skins being archived. All of these skins will still be playable for anyone who already owns them.





For those who might be disheartened by this news, there was also an - unrelated but interesting - announcement that the overall LOL community has grown to well over 32 Million Players. Ryze @ LOL posted this STATS chart.

Seems interesting. There's not many on the list that I'm too interested in, either, but I'm more curious why they would bother archiving them. I guess they're doing it to drum up sales on some of the less popular skins making them almost "limited edition".
