So I've been running support Yorick with a buddy of mine lately. Played two games yesterday and they turned out very well. Both games were against a Soraka/AD Carry bottom and honestly she couldn't keep up with me. Granted these aren't pros were talking about, but I mean jesus it is hard to lane against Yorick.
I don't even have to farm. I just sit in the brush and make your life hell while my Urgot gets free farm. This is what I've been running.
For runes I use
Greater Mark of Attack Damage, Greater Seal of Armor, Greater Glyph of Magic Resist, and Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage. Flat AD runes are amazing because they buff your damage as well as sustain. I'm debating on mana regen seals, but besides that I think i'm set. After around 15minutes usually we have won the lane which opens up time for me to farm. Farming is quick and easy for Yorick, sometimes I even counter jungle.
I think the true weakness to support Yorick is running into a Alistar//Taric. A support with more disrupting power seems to be more problematic than just a healer. Its still a stressful lane, but I'd like to try some harder match ups.
Any ideas/comments?

Just get some Mana + CDR.

Nothing else to add, Gp5 works fine since Yorick rocks early anyway and you can upgrade it into heavy tank + some AD/TF.
I could easily imagine seeing this go competetive, if your team isnt needing a healer. I hope it will, cause the nerf hammer will only fall faster that way...

Since his ult is 100% gear independent, CDR and aura tank items are excellent. Shurelya's is amazing too, Randuin's, FH, Aegis, Whatever you please ^_^

Elementz used support yorick some time ago at some qualifiers. It was with vayne bot so they didn't need zil mid.
Support/aura items, and a tri-force is probably the name of the game when playing yorick.
