Regardless, Thornmail is still inferior in every way. And we're talking about a team stacking Stark's Fervor here, so they're going to have a metric ****ton of lifesteal.

Full AD isn't as easy to beat as everyone claims. No matter what the other team does, the AD team will always retain one major advantage: Turret / Inhibitor / Nexus damage. AP Cannot keep up with that. Unless you can ward every entrance leading into base, the AD Team (2 or more of them) could show up at any moment and backdoor the hell out of you.
You can't win this game without dropping turrets. AD does that. You can't win this game without dropping Inhibs - AD does that. You can't win this game without dropping Nexus - AD does that ((Unless the other team surrenders, then you really don't need to do any of that.))
I don't really like the idea of full AD, and against any decent team they are going to get squished. There is technique to be found here, though, I believe.
EDIT: This is what counterpicks are made for though. If I saw a team going full AD, I'd break their hearts with CC Tankage ^_^
