Can't remember when akali was last picked in a tourney tbh(westrice did it 8 months back or so but i don't even think ppl ban westrice's akali anymore).
My conclusion is: Vayne is OP, but more counterable than: Caitlyn, Tristana and Kog'Maw. Less counterable than Graves/Ezreal(since they are counterpicks in themselves.)

Well, the same thing pretty much applies to any Tanky DPS or Assassin, not just Akali.
I'm not saying she has the best/most escapes of any AD carry (though not far off). It's the fact that she also has by far the most damage of any AD carry. Combined, it makes her a bit too strong.

By far? no. That's like saying Udyr has the fastest clear time by far, but it's only 2-3 seconds faster than shyvanas. Or vayne has by far the lowest range of any viable ad-carry since it's not that much lower than graves and ezreals.

No. And to imply Kogmaw + Support is on par safety wise with Vayne + Support is just not even remotely true.

Vayne with items will 2-3 shot Akali if she gets pinned and go about her merry way. Caitlyn will not be able to 2-3 shot Akali and it's those half seconds of damage that determine the winner in the Assassin vrs Carry match ups.
End game Vayne vrs end game Akali is easy. If vayne gets a pin, Akali dies for free. If Vayne has an Oracle Akali will probably die for free regardless. Vayne damage is just too mind numbing.

If shes nerfed she wont even be viable in ranked any more. She already has so many issues. Her dmg is is high for a reason and most time the people who rage are noobs who dont focus her in fights and she gets 20-2 or low elo games.
- Squishy easily dies 2 abilities or if focused.
- Very short attack range maybe even lost of all the ad carry's
- Slow initial attack speed
- Slow initial movement speed
- Easily zoned
- High mana costs low mana poool
So if you nerf her dmg gg vayne no longer viable.

While many of your points are legit, the question is fair to ask, "Does she do toooo much damage?"
I don't make a claim, but she's right around the border of too much and a lot.
