Substituing Elixer for extract just makes ward clearing an even more agressive aspect...Now you only have 5 minutes to do what you used to do somewhat passively unless you were setting up for baron or dragon.

It increases the aggressiveness(what riot wants) in the game. Means support role needs more skill. And btw: Extract only costs near halve the amount of elixir. So you have 10 minutes.
And ward clearing all the map is a **** engine, too...
And a support could also get hextech sweeper and scout with that.

They dont make junglers useless, on the contrary, many junglers can still dive in and the double can kill the solo person, or gank bot and kill both enemies. You're totally mistaken. Wards warn you that danger is coming, but that doesn't stop the jungler from ganking
Cmon, 35 gold and 25 secs? Max 5, so you'll spend 175 gold to have the map warded for 125 secs, so it's better to avoid buying them at all, or you'd be just wating your money

It's more likely that they'll add a support-item with the same active as Wriggle's, even if it becomes a must-buy, before they'll do sth as dumbfounded as making wards utterly useless.

You could also make the warding more dynamic if you lower the cost and duration by a bit. Something like that:
sight ward
Cost: 50 gold
Click: Places an invisible ward with 1000 range. Lasts 2 minutes, Max: 5 Stacks. Now no longer grants gold to the killer.
Cost: 100 gold
Click: Places an invisible ward with 1000 range Magical Sight (see invisible units). Lasts 2 minutes, Max: 5 Stacks. Now no longer grants gold to the killer.
hextech sweeper is now avaibale at summoner's rift. Cooldown from active reduced to 30 seconds from 1 minute.
Increase vision range of wards by 10%. Increase duration of wards by 15 seconds.
I think like that ward's would be still very usefull, but you can't ward the total map because the duration is lowered by 1 minute(45 seconds with mastery). Still, the cost is also decreased, so you can buy more wards.
