(This whole thread is about normal queue, for sure you dont ever dodge in ranked, that's plain stupid
(Kay this thread is about people who flame in normal game champ select, I know there ARE some reasons why someone would want to dodge a ranked, but I doubt it would be smart to dodge flamers in ranked)

The short anwser is no, if you ask me.

But then, there's this situation you've probably encountered too. Where you are matched with teamates who managed to structure a decent team, and cooperates well. Then someone dodges on either team. You end up being on the other side. A side where players are already calling each other "dumb****s" or something, and pick poorly. OFC, you're last pick, they throw insults at you and order you to pick a support.

We all know that you will lose the game. We all know 3 of your teamates will say it is your fault if they fed, certainly not because they overextend. You only wonder how long it will take for the other team to smash you.

TL;DR Do you ever dodge a draft when your teamates already fight each other in loby?

If they start flaming in the lobby I'm out instantly. I will not waste around 40 minutes of my life on players who will spend 99 % of the game on raging and name-calling. Self-preservation :P

Depends on my mood. If I feel like tryharding and my teammates pick a troll setup, I'll dodge. If some of my teammates both want a specific role and both pick a champ for that role basically making the game a guaranteed loss, I'll dodge.

If I just want to try a new champion or am not really in the mood to tryhard, I don't really care about the rest of the picks and won't generally dodge.

My win/loss ratio might be better if I would dodge more often (when having trollpicks, an overall stupid setup or when we've been counterpicked in pretty much every lane), but meh.

Yes i will dodge for pretty much the same reason. If the teammates are *****ing and raging before the match even begins i won't waste my time, even if i am just training on a new champ. My feeling is, if they are feeding, then i wont get to use my champ effectively anyway. And i don't necessarily dodge if the team has counters for lanes, there is still that possibility that they are picking counters without being too practiced at the champ, or the possibility that my teammates are particularly badass at their chosen champs. Either way, i can afford to gamble a bit on that.

Lolwut.

Better to dodge and lose 10 Elo than to get crushed and lose 15. *True story*

On-topic: I just put everyone on ignore if I start seeing them flame ^^
But I still dodge all the time. More than Jax. But sometimes I feel really bad for my team when they're good natured and our picks go undecided, then someone has to dodge because we know we aren't goin to win with no support :/

I think I have dodged maybe 3 through my entire 800+ games. All of those were ranked and somebody insta-locked and called mid quickly without caring about the allies choices. If it is a normal, I will race them to mid, claim that it's mine because I got there first, and stay if they don't leave...just to give them an idea of how stupid they are. I should probably dodge a bit more. I run into stupid people more often than I would like to admit.

I've still managed to win quite a few times with flamer teams, I guess I would still prefer to try. Straight losing 10 points because of dumbasses without trying anything myself would upset me even more.

I've dodged a few times due to a friend coming online and wanting to play with me.

I've never dodged simply due to bad team comp, because it's normals and generally everyone is there to practice / try new things so it doesn't bother me. If I am in a tryhard mood and my team is clearly full of ******s, I'll just try to pick a hard carry character and practice solo-winning matches.

I think it will probably prepare me well for ranked.

only time i dodge is when someone has obviously dc'd, or when i'm on pbe and go to check chat as we go in so i quit the custom as soon as i check chat.

I don't particularly dodge because even dumbasses who play something like clarity flash annie can carry a game.

well you actually should sometimes. more like in just 1 situation:

Your 1. Pick is afk so he doesn't makes any bans. and Randoms a **** champ the enemies fp shen and kassa.. and he isn't coming back even at the end of selection.

Better face -10 elo - especially if you are in duoQ than wasting time + losing elo for like 95%
