i think you might lack sustain too, no life steal on kog'maw is quite not viable and since you are and ad carry, infinity edge is needed i think.
anyway nice build and its nice to see someone try something different :)

ON hit build yet you take Armor Pen is masteries and runes.
Spell vamp? No your W does not proc spell vamp. Why didn't you go 21/0/9 ? Why didn't you take mana masteries on such a mana hungry champion?

I usually kinda facerool him AD nowadays but this amy be a good alternative for those games where you know you have to build resistances. gj dude =)
Very interesting build. Really like the usefulness mid/late game. It is awfully hard to build up quickly though if you aren't solo/mid. I bought a heart of gold after doran's and boots when I had to duo-lane. I've always played Kog like a glass cannon and have tried many different builds, but survivability is a nice change of pace. Randuin's active is very sexy when used correctly.
Only thing I have problems with is the Armor Pen runes. I have lots of experience with both Armor Pen and Magic Pen and I have to say I like Magic Pen. ArPen doesn't really help out a whole lot until way late game when you get Frozen Mallet/Black Cleaver. However, with MagPen the difference in Kog's ult is very noticeable. People have managed to survive with single digit HP when I'm playing with ArPen runes, but if they somehow manage to get away from me and I need to snipe? MagPen doesn't fail ;) Every Kog player knows that sweet feeling when you pick someone off with a well-timed snipe, and that doesn't happen as often with ArPen. I think Black Cleaver and Caustic Spittle widdle down armor enough to still have noticeable hybrid damage.
Ah. Well, thanks for the suggestion! Added the Mpen runes as an option!
Don't forget item slows don't stack (Mallet+Omen=Omen) and only the strongest slow is applied (so the Omen/Mallet is halved). This makes slow stacking not that ideal, just a thing you might want to note.
On the other hand, Atma's Impaler supplies ample Armor and damage to be worth the slot even as a last game item.
Well... either way I do believe it's very viable, considering the health boost+utility you receive from it. I'll work on some experimenting.
Would like to see Mercury's Treads and Stark's in there, given the nature of the build as is, but that aside, awesomesauce! +1

I'm concerned about the Stark's idea though, considering that it doesn't do much for you in terms of overall character development; and its only beneficial if your team has a few ADs on it.
