I have just ended the beta version of Diablo III, and I must say I'm pretty much amazed by how well it's done. The biggest pros of this game is for sure the music, graphics are really enjoyable and they go along with physics (yeah, this game has physics).

Another good thing to mention is that you don't need to click on gold to pick it up, simply you walk over it and it's being collected automatically. There are a lot of different weapons and what's good, you usually won't drop weapons for other classes, neither you will see them in shop, really makes the gameplay more enjoyable.

There are also a lot achievements for doing different things in the game, like killing a lot of enemies in a short ammount of time, killing them by dropping the enviroment on them (ye, you can do that) or by simply collectin gold.

What made a great impression on me is the resource system. Out of five (quite likely more) classes only 1 uses Mana. I've chosen my first character, thinking I will be starving for Mana, that I would have to buy tons of mana potions, but no! The creators actually applied 4 or more completely new resource systems, a lot of them refill by attacking while the other ones just regen quickly enough. It's really amazing to see a character that uses two reources, one for offensive skills, second one for defensive ones, really makes the game outstand others.

About the skills, well, 2 of them will be ***inged to your Left/Right mouse button, this game will have no basic attacks, each attack will be some means enhanced. That's simply amazing, beating the **** out of countless undeads in an endless dungeon has never been so fun to do. The animations of th attacks are really nice, they go well with each other and pretty much make the life easier.

Whilst your 1-4 (can be edited) buttons make up for your 4 other sills, mostly tactical/defensive ones, so far I have beaten the game with only class, and I have to say, if you are not going to use the tactical skills of your hero, then you are as good as dead, cause while surrounded by good 40 enemies, you won't have time to kill them neither to use a potion (originally ***inged to Q button).

There are few downsides, as far as it concerns the Open Beta, it may lag at times. You need to be connected to the server to play, but I have no clue whether there will be a single player mode that doesn't require internet connection or not. If there is going to be no such option, playing the game may seriously be a bit harder at the high summit hours.

But all in all, I think that's only downside of Diablo III, the gameplay is outstanding, the graphics and physics really make it worth to experiment at times, the ammount of originality in this game is enourmous, the game is not straight-forward, you are free to wander around, even in Beta, which is quite un-common. The music changes for each place and it's a real pleasure to play by it. You can easily teleport between all of the game's cities and locations by a well-done teleport system.

Overall, the game earns itself a solid 10/10, if it comes out in singe-player offline mode, and a solid 9/10 if it doesn't.

Overall I've really enjoyed playing.

The one class that I've played so far which seems to need some love is the Witch Doctor. Though stuff will probably change, the Witch Doctor's abilities are rather useless...For example "Corpse Spider Jar"....you hurl a jar of spiders at your opponent...The jar breaks, spiders attack the nearest target then dies...Basically it has boiled down to me simply spamming poison dart and his AoE snare.

Demon Hunter will be...IS currently OP, perma slow with entangling shot (with the Chain gang rune I can snare up to 4 targets), drop caltrops, roll away...Essentially perma kite...Oh and impale with the stun rune, basically perma interrupt any kind of channeled casts....Basically Demon Hunters should be king of PvP...Unless I see something from other classes, thus far I havent.

Only issue I had was Blizzard continually taking down the servers...Granted that's them being on top of problems, but the fact it interrupts SINGLE PLAYER GAME PLAY is moronic...

All in all I'll probably buy the full game. It's too fun not to ^_^

i myself am playing a monk. pretty badass, love the thunderclap rune with fists of lightning. (occasionally when clicking on a target away from me, i'll teleport to them to hit them. it also does some small aoe damage, and the effect is purple/black lightning.)

i've also got a witchdoctor, and yeah for now poison dart is better, just have to see all the runes in action and which one fits your play style.

in my book, from what i've seen its a 9/10. and there will not be an offline mode at all btw.

Overall I think its a very solid game, but I fear it won't have the longevity Diablo 2 has. The depth of class building, in my opinion, isn't as deep as Diablo2. In D2 building a REAL character took a large amount of studying and game experience. A few misplaced stat points made a significant impact when trying to really compete in hell mode//uber runs. Diablo 3 seems to throw away the ability to completely create a character from the ground up and replaces it with "your all the same, but your unique in skills/runes".

I still enjoyed the beta, the gamplay is definitely addictive and fun. I don't know if people will still be playing this 10 years later though.

It's nice game, i have played barbarian, monk and witch doctor so far. Witch doctor really is a bit lackluster, at least his first levels are, i hope he gets something better later on. Barbarian and monk have that early melee advantage, just running through mobs like through butter, barbarian is uber strong, literally can not die and with all that aoe cleaves, there's no end of him..

It is a solid game with the new created dungeon and areas a it gives you a bit of fun everytime you run through an area to explor it a bit, but even that does not change that it is pretty liniar. At least in the demo I missed a side track that was a bit longer then 3 min.

The fighting System seems pretty solid. All classes have a diffrent ressorce system but boilde down they all have to spamm left click and right click. But it is quite fun. Some clases like the Witch Doctor and the Mage are quite boring early on. This may change when you lvl with the Mage, but the skillset of the Witch Doctor looks quite lame. Still I like the flow of the champ. It would be a wast to let him fall down to nothing. The Demon Hunter seems pretty funny to but the enemy can't get even near you. If you have half a brain you can either kill them from afar or kit them all day. The Warrior is quite the opposite jump in and smash bones. I personly didn't like the animations but he was funny to play. The Monk is imo the most intristing class. He brings quite a lot of tactiv and utility that you can use in fights. You can get through by just spamming left click and even this locks quite impressive. But the Spirit system tempted me to find the perfect balanc between his skills. Which all have a nice effect or look flashy.

The story as far as the demo went was petty awesome. I was quite impressed by all the littel story bits you get and that all tell their own littel story. I only found 1 side Quest in a dungeon and it was pretty lame I hope they work on that. The voice over was very good. They even alternet some text your character says so it fits your class.

Overall the game is good but not top tier like D2. I just miss the way you could costemize your chatacter. It will have an epic story no doubt, but I don't know if it will be a long time runner like D2. Also I am almost sure we will see the Templer in the fist Add-on that comes for the game.
Also the lags where at some point pretty big and the server fellt like there wher in the burning village in the background of the login screen and being conected all time to the net is quite lame.

Seems like a very nice game!

But you can't say it's not good cuz it won't be as good as D2. Because cmon, what game ever will?

I just expected a little more of the 'diablo magic' after 10 years of development. The game certainly looks like diablo, but they really cut the game short in depth. Blizzard once again homogenizing the difficulty for all players..... this disappoints me.

businesses are IN BUSINESS to make money...

If a brothel only catered to a certain type of person, sure they would make money, but in the long run a different brother might open up next door and they service a wider variety of clientele which then cuts down on the business of the brothel that catered to specifics.

Same goes for any other business. The goal is to turn a profit, when you can turn a profit the additional goal is to make that profit as large as possible. I'm sick and tired of reading people's naive responses.

People in general dislike change, so when someone comes a long and changes something they get pissy without looking into the deeper reasoning.

Acquiring gear is cool, building a custom character is fun too, NOT HAVING TO SLAVE OVER HOURS OF RESEARCH, GRIND THE SAME AREA SO YOU CAN ACQUIRE THAT ONE PIECE OF GEAR so you can FINALLY have a chance to beat an area boss, that sounds cool to me too. Other people seem to disagree though.

You know I come from playing WoW, there was a lot of information I needed to look up and gear to grind for so that I could raid with my guild. I know somewhat of what it's like to enjoy those things. Then I think about it, a game should be challenging not infuriating....

either way ive lost my point D:
