Alcair,i have a Varus build too,and its good. But yours isn't so bad,but its kind'a too much small.Your build would be much rated if u spread it.U have too add for example:runes,masteries,tactics.......Your build have 50.000 views just because of nice name of the build. ;)

I might try to release a Varus guide later. Still studying the ratios and item/skill sequence. Can't believe in all that Phreak says in spotlight :P

However, if the author said me he tested the build into pbe games I would give him a little bit more credits besides it being a newly released guide about a newly released champion.

BlackIceT, I tried your suggestion 1 match, I'll try it later aswell, but I ended up having 3/8/0, but mainly because I got a team full of trolls.

Lol I am not planning on making a Varus guide so there will be no releases from me. However I am considering making a Brand one in the next couple of months so we shall see.

@ Alcair

What about a build that has Berserker's Greaves, Malady, Infinity Edge/ Bloodthirster, Nashor's Tooth, Guinsoo's Rageblade/ Hextech Gunblade, Banshee's Veil/ Guardian Angel? I do not have extensive experience with Varus or his apparent hybrid capabilities so I am not sure if any of this would be good or not. Just an idea to try maybe.

Seems good, I'll try it out later :)

I personally don't like Black Cleaver since it takes four attacks to reach its usefulness. Last Whisper should be fine on the armor front. Instead I go Infinity Edge. 260% crit damage between it and masteries. Combined with Phantom Dancer you should be critting every 3-4 hits which you can get off pretty quickly. Just my 2 cents.

It's not worth to go AP with Varus, you will lose too much damage that you need from the AD items. But I will try to go AP'ish :) Nashor's Tooth & Wit's End might be good.

Its never too early to make a guide for a charecter. I am glad some people have the time and the courage to make a build for new charecters that alot of us buy because there arnt any out there. Because of these builds, we are able to figure out what might work better for a new charecter rather than just going into it blind.

currently, i find that with good positioning, the standard ranged ad carry build, so called the glass cannon one work great, for the ap/as one, i have tried it, but not always work, should be kind of build need higher skill level, i will continue to fine tune it though.

the blight and ult that scale well with ap are really worth us a try on it :-)

The truth of the matter is this. Varus has been out for ONE day to the public. No one knows exactly what works the best for him yet. There will be an argument between AP/AS builds and AD builds until the public decides which is the better option or if they are equally good.

When voting starts for these guides there will be A LOT of troll-votes as people will attempt to get their guides to the top as much as possible so people see it. If I was the author of this guide I would take it down. Then I would put ALL the information I want to give to the public in it and release it about 3 weeks from now. That way troll-voters decrease a tad bit and your guide is of good quality.

New guides that appear that show promise and great work will be noticed by the MobaFire Community and might eventually get to the top. Remember QUALITY is better than MAKING THE FIRST GUIDE. You may have made the first guide but if it has a 65% approval rating it would not be worth it. However that is how I see things and how I would handle it if I was making a Varus guide.

so, BlackiceT, will you release your varus guide in the future? it will be exciting to see one more of your great work :-)

alcair it's too early to make a guide on this champ, for one you should max W first for the massive % damage it gives at the 3 stacks, and the constant magic damage for auto attacks, making him a good harasser
you've not thought this through and haven't explained half of what you should to make a good guide
