If you want so many different things, why not just make more than one guide.
Will bring feedback for the new layout soon.

The problem is not that the authors can't choose, because in our paging setup before the authors were free to use or not use pages, they did have the choice. The problem is that readers can't choose. Whatever the authors choose to do, and whatever we choose to allow authors to do, is now forced on the readers.
We could offer an alternative view that shows the full guide on one page for users that prefer it but now those users are still required to click twice to view any guide. Perhaps we could have a setting in user profiles to let them choose globally but guests won't have that option and, let's be honest, we have a whole lot of guests.
Anyways, it's off topic for this thread now. We can discuss paging elsewhere, this thread is for discussion of the new design.

I like that the separation of Team 1 and 2 is bigger. It doesn't look like a run-on sentence anymore.
I think the words "Ability Sequence" should stay left justified, but the table itself should be centered.
I don't miss the names in the Ability Sequence chart... you can't see them in game without scrolling over them so it kind of makes sense that these act the same way.
Summoner spells are the only thing on the page that don't have a title. I think right now they just look like they've been thrown in where there is room, not like that is their actual position. Giving them a heading should fix that though.
I have noticed a slight resizing in images. The headers that I use are larger than they should be and therefore get shrunk and automatically centered. *I'm aware they are actually left justified but due to the size it still looks centered* Since the rollout of the new format these images have been made slightly smaller and make the innate left justification noticable. There were similar issues about a month and a half ago, but that was much more drastic than this. Just a small little thing I noticed.
Great job with making all of these changes since the release though. Very impressive.

Glad you like the changes :) We always listen to you guys. I like the changes we've made, I personally think the new look is slick, and with the adjustments we've made over the last day I am quite happy with it.
Regarding your image issues, are you referring to your horizontal bars? Or, which images are you referring to? They all seem scaled and centered properly to me, but I may be looking for the wrong thing.
Regarding summoner spells, I tend to agree but there's just nowhere to really put them. We could put them next to the runes but a lot of guides put several types of runes and it looks bad when the runes wrap. There's just no more space without shifting everything down further again, which we really don't want to do. Open to ideas though, as I don't really have any myself :(

I agree with Cubby and others who have pointed it out: the summoner spells look out of place where they are. I'd suggest next to the runes, but some people list a lot of alternative runes (though if alternative rune builds could be listed this wouldn't be a problem *wink*).
It'd be awesome if alternative item/rune/summoner/masteries etc can be displayed on the cheat sheet. If Flash makes a custom Mastery page set up, you could combine it with the spoiler coding to make it collapsible.
This is how I'd lay it out (obviously allowing for multiple skilling order and purchase order too):

Yes, I am referring to the horizontal bars. The ones that are correct are the ones that I centered the last time this happened. If you remember, back then the resizing only happened after an author would edit a specific section.
In my Introduction the top bar is left justified and the bottom two are centered.
In the LoL Replay Section the top bar is centered but the bottom three are left justified.
It isn't a big deal and I can go through and put the center coding on them all, but I know that when I originally wrote the guide I didn't have centering on any of the dividers because they reached from one end to the other, and now I have to code them to be ccenter. The only way I can explain this is that the images are slightly smaller than they were before, which makes the left justification more pronounced.
I added an uncentered line to the LoL Replay Section on top of the centered line so you can see what I mean. You can view it here
I'll be removing that line in a bit otherwise I will forget about it and then see it randomly one day and kick myself over it. :)
Edit: I inspected the image and I know that the bars are normally 15px in height. Currently they are 13px and before when everything was getting resized they were 10 or 11px.

not sure if it is just me, but when i click on a link in the table of contents in a guide, it just simply refreshes the page. anyone know what's going on?
Thank you jhoijhoi, Keondre, LaCorpse, The_Nameless_Bard, Arcana3, Apfeljack, Hogopogo, eddie199, Xiaowiriamu, and JEFFY40HANDS for the spectacular sigs!

I know you guys have said that you haven't written it off, so I think revisiting the idea soon could be very useful. I think the most important thing to remember though is that there are some people that just don't like change, no matter what the change. AutoCAD comes out with a new release every year, but in every release you can tell it to go back to look and work just like the original release. Using this method they have been able to please everyone from the die hard command line drafters or the new generation of button pushers.
I'm sure you guys are looking for uniformity, but perhaps creating a Guide Builder that let's the author make these decisions would be a better way to go? Even just thinking about it, it seems like a programming nightmare, but I still think it might be the best solution.
