Seconded for Craigslist. I sell stuff on there all the time personally. It's really not that big of a deal. You don't give them the laptop until you have cash in hand. It's very simple and usually the fastest way to sell anything online these days.

There are some pretty messed up people in New Jersey/New York area though...

Pretty sure craigslist is more reliable than ebay, so unless you have an alternative in mind, I'd probably start there.
