Turrets: le buff?
Well it has to be possible for tanks to survive turrets for a long period of time and for others to survive for a short while, otherwise it encourages extreme passive play and turtling. If you can't dive a team and/or backdoor turrets, they can stand under their turret for as long as they like without ever losing. Games like that aren't fun to play or to watch. Dives on the other hand are very fun and exciting to play and to watch.
From what I've heard, in games like DotA and HoN turrets actually deal less damage than in LoL.

If you are using
Zhonya's Hourglass and hit the champion forcing the turret to attack you, then activate Zhonya's, will it stay on you the entire time? I was theorizing a way to tank turret damage troll-like.

think they're fine. maybe late game they aren't as much help, but one league of legends game already usually lasts 40 min. with a turret buff, it's gonna last even longer.

The reason i think that they need a hp buff(especially the inner turrets) is because past the 30th minute, 1 death can potentially mean that the enemy sometimes push 3 turrets in the period of time it takes that 1 guy to respawn.

As for what's been mentioned, I've actually noticed they seem more effective today too, on a Jarvan who, has mentioned, took a more brutal blow each shot. But I've also seen a 60% hp Mundo tank a full turret + minions. Oh well
