So, i've been playing LoL for two weeks by now and I'm still not really sure about my item build... I usually do something like: Wringle's Lantern, Phantom Dancer, Phantom Dancer, The Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge and a Berserker's Greaves. In late game I may switch my Berserker's Greaves for another Phantom Dancer and my Wringle's Lanter by a Thornmail (if they have lots of AD) or another Bloodthirster. I'm still summoner lvl 13 and I don't have any runes. ): Please help me~

You're far too squishy and would be insta-bursted by the ap caster with that build >.<

With that build, there's way too little damage early on, and not enough resistances to survive anything.

Trade out a Phantom Dancer for a Maw of Malmortius. It's more damage and the shield will save you more times that you can imagine.

If it gets to real late game, trade Wriggle's Lantern for a Guardian Angel. It's a great defensive item that gives you a second chance and, allows you to get a little more usefulness out of the Maw of Malmortius passive. It's also some nice defenses overall.

Yeah Luginaf is pretty spot on. I would consider building Wriggle's Lantern, Atma's Impaler, and a Frozen Hammer or Warmogs depending on your opponents. Two Phantom Dancers isn't a bad idea, but I would get just one, and sell your Wriggle's Lantern Later for a the Maw of Malmortius like Lugignaf recommended. Obviously you want Berzerker Greaves and then for your last item I would either get a Bloodthirster or a Trinity Force. Trinity Force is what I would recommend just because it would give your Alpha Strike and Crits some more power. What's even better is that with Trinity you could use your E for the boost in AD and then use Q to break the distance and get an auto-attack in. Atmogs (Atma's + Warmogs) works fairly well on a lot of AD carry champs so I would try experimenting with it in custom games. Late game I would sell boots for Infinity Edge. Trinity's Force and Phantom Dancers should give you enough movement speed that you shouldn't need the boots. Frozen Hammer should slow your opponents down enough that you should still be fine without the boots if you ult. You probably won't hit or move as fast as you like, but your damage output should be nice.

you are just too glass cannon style. seriously get some resists in the build like a GA. you should later switch and item for last whisper or black cleaver once ppl start stacking armor.

Try:

Ionian Boots of Lucidity
Deathfire Grasp
Rabadon's Deathcap
Lich Bane
Zhonya's Hourglass
Void Staff

You will deal tons of dmg. And AP is the only viable build to lane with Yi.

@NicknameMy
I don't really like late game AP Yi... In early and mid game it deals massive damage etc but in late game people get defense and IMO Yi stops being useful.

@all the other guys
So, what about this:
Berzerker's Greaves
Phantom Dancer
Bloodthirster
Infinity Edge
Frozen Mallet
Guardian Angel

In early game I would farm a Wringle's Lantern and later on switch it by the Frozen Mallet or the Guardian Angel. Although I still have some doubts about the item sequence I should make. Thank you all.

I don't have much experience but the majority of my playing is in top lane.

Go boots first and your potions, head down to lane, farm it up.
First time back pick up Wriggle's Lantern and your berzerker's greaves.
Next time back pick up Phage if you need some defense (probably not though, since Wriggle's will give you some sustain as well as Meditate), or Zeal if you're doing well in lane.
Next finish off your Phantom Dancer and begin working on either Infinity Edge or Bloodthirster, once one of those is completed get your Frozen Mallet. Hope this helps.
