"New" Mage Build

[/quote] Ofc the current AP builds are fine, that is why we use them. This is a alternative build to "beef" up a regular Mage without losing to much AP but I've never tested it. [/quote] True, could also be good on [[Karma]]. But considering you will benefit 20,25 AP (including rabadons and masterie effect), 99 armor, 20% cdr and the unique aura from [[Frozen Heart]], kinda makes it a strong item.[/quote]

You are sacrificing alot of damage for your tankyness, which is what the ap carry is supposed to have. It would work in low ELO where people can't read your item build and determine apporximate DPS, but once you get into mid to high elo, people will hit tab for 2 seconds and decide to ignore you until you're about the last one left b/c they know you arent that big of a threat because of your low AP.[/quote]
