So I have been working with Xin for a little while now, and I have been doing pretty good. Each game I go 15+ kills and less than 8 deaths. Not fantastic, but I think it is chopped down to the build. I have been working with this, and I need some feedback to see if I am competent at creating my own build. So without further adieu, here is the build, I will explain everything at the end of the post. Thanks for reading!

{Xin Build}
~Boots/potions
~Merc Treads
~Zekes Herald
2-Bloodthirster
~Wits end (Magic Res/Attack Speed)
2-Atma's Impaler (Extra Armor/Crit Chance)
3-Bloodthirster (Extra AD/Life Steal)
~Randuins Omen
2-Warmogs (Extra HP/Tank)
3-Trinity Force (Extra cash, buy it)
4-Force of Nature (Major Magic res)
~Bloodthirster
2-Frozen Mallet (extra HP/Slow on hits)
~Infinity Edge

To start, I get Boots of Speed, and Potions. The reason behind this is staying alive in lanes long enough to get to level 4-6 before I have to base, unless I'm killed, of course.
Next, I work on my merc treads mainly for the tenacity, a stunned or slowed xin = a dead xin.
After that, I go for the Zekes Herald, it's fairly cheap sitting at 2145g, not that hard early game, and gives me and my fellow champions 20% attack speed and 12% life steal. Effective in helping lane partner and me get kills. If I need more damage at the time, I will work towards blood thirster, which gives up to 100 additional AD and I keep the life steal with it.
Next is Wits End, which gives me a nice Magic Resistance vs Casters, which helps. Also offers a nice attack speed bonus. If I need some extra armor, I go with Atma's Impaler, it has the added benefit of extra crit chance. Blood Thirster is also a viable option here, if I need to pick up some more kills, or just get some more AD.
This is the armor part of my build, I start with Randuins Omen, which is the default armor I normally get. If I need some more tankyness, I will go with Warmogs, this gives me big health boost, and increasing amounts per kill. If I have the extra cash at this point, I start working towards Trinity Force for the AD, Speed, Crit Chance, Attack Speed, Health, and it's passives, which offer great damage during 1v1/2v1/team fight. IF I need some insane magic res, I will stock up on a Force of Nature, which offers a huge 76% magic res, and offers survivability in team fights or 2v1.
If I did not get the Blood Thirster yet, this is the time I would work on it. If I have already bought it, I would go with the frozen mallet instead. Nothing like slowing champs during chase and offers a nice chunk of 700 hp, on top of allowing me some more damage.
Finally, I get Infinity edge, which I can't decide whether or not to get this earlier, or wait until end game to get more kills to push ahead. But this is a great item for Xin, and I want to be able to get it when possible.

That is pretty much my build. I am a bit new at building for champions, but this is my first attempt. I would like to know if all of my choices are valid, my subs are valid, and the build is viable before I start using it in PvP. So please give me as much feedback as you can, and help me in any way possible. Thanks in advance, your friend, SilastheDark. If you want to add me on LoL, my name is also "SilastheDark" so feel free to add me and message me at any time.

I would help you but, I have never played this champ...with that being said your items make no sense, what is with the numbers beside the items? Maybe making it easier to read would get more people to try and help you.

Oh sorry, the number s beside them are situational, for zekes herald for instance I can either get Zekes or go for the optional Bloodthirster if I need more AD at the time. I can go for Wits end, or Atmas Impaler or Bloodthirster depending on what I need at the time. The main build are the items passed the "~" and the optionals are the ones with numbers. I thought it was organized at first, then saw after you posted that, that is kind of confusing. Sorry about that!

I see what you mean now, if I were you I would lay it out differently like have an intial build then put stars beside the items and the stars represent the other items that could replace those items.

My suggestions:

You build health late ( Phage/ Frozen Mallet) and may want to move that to your second or third item.

With that said you may want to go...
Mercury's Treads
Phage
zeke's herald
Frozen Mallet

I do like the Wit's End because if there's one thing Xin loves it's attack speed. But what works great with attack speed is crit chance. I would suggest an early Zeal and then later on Phantom Dancer and maybe Infinity Edge as your last item. Try:

Mercury's Treads
Phage --> Later Frozen Mallet
zeke's herald
Zeal --> Later Phantom Dancer
Frozen Mallet
Infinity Edge
Phantom Dancer
Guardian Angel

Or taking out the small items:

Mercury's Treads
Frozen Mallet
zeke's herald
Phantom Dancer
Infinity Edge
Guardian Angel

Also you should try Wriggle's Lantern on Xin, it works great.

I like wriggles, but I feel for Xin there are better items to start with. And getting wriggles late is just ehh. I'm not a fan of Guardian Angel, i'd rather use something like atmas impaler for the extra crit chance because I don't find myself dying too often on win, 18/3 last game I played. The build you have is the one I used to play, but I had a couple of things different. For instance I got Berzerker Greves instead of Treads, but I changed to treats after a while. I was just trying to build a more unique style, it was working, but my health was lower most of the time which became an issue after a while. I think I am going to get back into this build though.

By the way, how did you tag the items? Makes it so much easier.

Xin Zhao AD ratios are complete ****ing garbage, so not much point in getting Bloodthirster. Presuming this is low leveled play so you can't really rely on your team-mates thus don't go for the utility of Zeke's Herald but rather go for sole damage yourself to carry the game. If you really want it ask the support to build it mid-game, its base stats are pitiful for you.

Black Cleaver is a fantastic item on Xin Zhao as it provides him attack speed which he adores and some armor reduction in which so far you have zero armor penetration through items leaving you pretty open to being countered item wise via armor if enemy spots you being fed.

Xin Zhao is incredible squishy and items like Atma's Impaler and Wit's End aren't going to change that. Best hope is just to go glass cannon style with Guardian Angel and hope for the best.

I'm trying some new things, and I am liking the build so far. I rearranged the build above a little bit.
