Energy runes are generally bad though. You'd really get a lot more bang for your buck with CDR glyphs and Evasion/Fortitude seals. TBH if you play smart with the ninjas, you won't run out of energy that quickly.
Exactly and if you give kennen some attack speed, he adds a mark every 5 hits, you could easily keep a champion perma stunned essentially removing a carry from team fights.
Tank Morgana (Tankgana) works pretty well too. didn't get too far into the build or late enough into the game to see its viability though. I did have enough time to farm up a warmogs(I know its not really a tank item but they had a lot of AD and none of them had madreds, and I was getting focused in every teamfight, so I started getting bulky to initiate), grab a spirit visage for improved spell vamp and warmogs (also for CDR, and MR) Zhonya's hourglass for the additional armor and AP, and that's as far as I got honestly, was considering Abyssal scepter for some magic resistance because to be honest, Ryze ganks can hurt. positive kdr and 23 assists that game btw >.>

Never though about spirit visage on Morgana, that could be interesting even for a regular build. I would like to see a tank kennen in action.

Lol ok so I saw AD/DPS Anivia on the front page and decided to give it a try.
OMG it's so much fun! Everyone expects you to go AP and deal massive spell damage until all of a sudden you get Manamune and kill everyone with auto-attacks. Increasing your attack speed and getting crit makes Anivia look like she's doing some awesome bird dance where she flaps her wings and does back flips constantly.
Play evaluation: She actually makes a semi-decent carry what with 600 range auto-attacks. Her projectile speed and attack animations are a bit slow, but it shouldn't be too much of a hamper. Her move speed is AMAZING. Anivia isn't slow anymore!(at least once you get Phantom Dancer anyway). Another great thing is that you can easily cast spells in between auto-attacks to increase your DPS because her spell cast animations are very fast.
One problem I saw is that you still have to be good with traditional Anivia playstyle because her entire early-mid game has to be played as a mage all the while knowing that your magic damage is steadily weakening and really falls off around lvl 12 or so. By late game you're Q and R become total Utility spells and your E becomes next to useless, except maybe as a 650 range auto-attack that does less damage than your regular auto-attack.
Best part is wall is totally unaffected and stays super awesome.
Pics for proof!

So I tried AD cass. It was, well, REALLY funny. I actually carried the team with a score somewhere around 11/5/8. Boots of mobility + Fro mallet + Q = nobody can run, ever. And if I ulted anyone, they were dead. However, I was the super squish, and had to be really careful. (Hence the 5.. D: I built fro mallet too late.)
Haven't seen this on the builds list at all...
Disclaimer: Haven't tried the following in an actual match yet as I'm waiting for a premade willing to let me experiment.
Hybrid AD/AP Attack speed Jungling Cho Gath (Aka Mother F***ing Cho Gath)™ (TM) (In case I ever decide to make a build for this one.)
Start with cloth armor and 5 health pots, Smite and any other summoner spell you'd like, doesn't really matter to me. (I went with heal as I was doing this on a low level account while my friend was testing out a build).
First point in vorpal spikes, start at blue, after blue proceed with normal jungling route. *Note: probably cannot take dragon alone until you have at least wriggles and level 6, with both feast and smite up). Priority: Feast>Vorpal Spikes>Rupture>Feral Scream
Build is as follows: Wriggles, Berserker's, Nashor's, Hextech Gunblade, Guinsoo's, Starks
As long as you are attacking you can survive just about anything. In fact with this build you can solo baron pretty easily and walk out with next to full HP. It's a good idea to constantly have blue and red buff, can feast about every 36 seconds, and keep up with pretty much anyone between Rupture and red buff slow. If a tower is damaged you can seriously just walk up to it and BD it pretty easily at full feast stacks.
Again, was done on a low level account, so without many masteries and no runes. Quite an untraditional build in my opinion. I'm unsure if guinsoo's is necessary, would be interesting to see this build with rylais built in with vorpal slows and a slow on the rupture before the knockup (more likely to hit this way). Can probably carry (dual carry) with this build with a competent team.

Bump for idea's and I'd like to keep this discussion going.
Also tried out my Cho' Gath build.. its okay, its good if there is already a tank and a hard carry or even if there is none since you can kill pretty quickly and keep them slowed with red buff, took me a few games to get the full build up to solo baron since they always surrendered... A fully feasted cho gath walking out of the jungle with rupture works pretty well =)

Alrighty. Hypothetically Tank Morgana should be viable. She has a Snare, spell shield, and a multi target ult.

I though about a Hybrid Morgana. You snare/stun them follow by auto attacks could = profit lol.
