The only attack speed items you should really consider are Berz Greaves and Nashor's, although Nashors is kinda meh. Berz Greaves are kinda ok-ish on her, but I'd rather have Merc Treads or Sorc Shoes (I'm toying with running a full MPen rune page atm).
Or, just get a Nunu to cast Blood Boil on you. Then you can go full AP and get bonus AtkSpd!
She benefits more from just raw AP than she does Attack speed. Her abilities are short enough to be able to spam. And spam is wonderful :)

Boots, I'd still go with

EDIT: So I went into a game with this build and did well enough but I wasn't really going off of the passive. In the end I was still relying on my abilities to secure kills to farm it up and the damage "increase" from AS was negligible. I will say, she seems to scale very well with AS but other than that her ADC career falls short :P
I dont have her, but I have to say the most effective build I have played against is one where she went:
sorc boots
rylais crystal scpter
Rod of ages
Rabadon's Deathcap
Game never lasted to a sixth item. yep, she went for the cap last, why? She didnt need it that soon :/ with just the rylais and the rod of ages she tanked the twin nexus turrets. It was just insane. With the early rylais there was zero chance of escaping once you were in range. If she was near you, you were dead period.

As a jungler I think full AP is too expensive, unless you get super fed. This is why I think a build with attack speed might not only make her clear time better but also be a bit less expensive. (Might be wrong though, didnt do the maths on the build cost)
Who said you had to jungle? :o
Anyway, early Zerkers then selling it for Mercs/Sorcs later on might be a good idea.
Trinity Force is also great on her, and so is
Wit's End even if you're building AP.

I already have played a couple of games with Diana and wanted to throw this idea out there. Diana benefits a lot from attack speed because of her passive that scales very well with AP.
Theoretical build
- Deathcap
- Lich Bane
- Malady
- Nashor's tooth
- Boots
- Whatever u need as a 6th item
