If you for some reason want to follow my ranked journey to gold, you can do it Here.

I am against asking for rep, only rep me if you think I contributed well or said something wise.

Thank you for clarifying Wrath

Oh, and McLovin. It's because of stupid ideas like that, that makes me glad to know Riot doesn't listen to the community.

sorry about getting your name wrong.
But 1v1 would be an awful idea and would definitely nothing but rage quitting, I wouldn't call it a stupid idea, but it definitely wouldn't work with the same elo system, because someone who has won several times in 1v1 would brag about there elo and have no skill 5v5, and it would just break an already breaking ranking system. I don't think it should ever be made in to ranked game option

Well let us just base how stupid this idea is on the fact that it is impossible to balance a 1v1 game type.

Lets also base it on the principal fact that the OP is complaining about bad team mates. Now with that in mind (add in the fact that 5v5s are actually balanced) imagine his level of "*****yness" when he only has himself to blame. Now multiply that by any number of people who partake in 1v1s.

Case closed.

I smell a Rage-overdose for him

+rep me and you'll get good karma, wich means you won't be reincarnated into a rock! Isn't that awesome?

But yes this idea has been discussed more than Pam Anderson's tits in a plastic surgeons office.

One does. If you can beat him in lane, you can beat him 1 vs 1.

Hillarious part is that, if it's a draft, you're basically allowing the second player to counter you. Or, if it's a draft that becomes a blind pick, you're allowing mirror matches, which is gay :D

Actually... 1v1s would be more suited to the Elo system. I know that the skills involved in 1v1s are only somewhat related to 5v5s, but in 1v1s the correlation of an individual player's skill level to their ability to win games is much tighter. That is, better players are significantly more likely to win games than worse players in 1v1s than in 5v5s, due to teamplay elements. The Elo system was designed for chess, which is much close to a LoL 1v1 than a 5v5.

This is not to say that ranked 1v1s are actually a good idea, of course. It's just that the Elo system (and really only the Elo system) is actually better suited for it.

ahah I know, I know but its still very hard to have the upper hand on a yorik in 1v1 ofc if its counterpicked its just gg :P
