The Asian region is the only overpopulated area (though their population is getting managed pretty well by the government laws, dropping birthrates by a lot), everywhere else the crude birth rate is lower than the crude death rate. Countries like Russia and Sweden are trying to increase their population as much as they can, since it's pretty far under the 2.1 kids per family that would keep a population stable. Anyways, only immigration keeps most areas' population stable, but other than that, the doubling time of the world's population is decreasing and will probably level at about 2050. After that point the population will either stay stable at 9 billion, or decrease slightly. We'll see ^^[/quote]
