It has a large AP mid section, and it doesn't matter. CV not viable, mana crystal start not viable, basically everything he has in the guide is not viable.
Hell, ****ing karma support is NOT VIABLE, at least right now. Why on earth would you play karma over janna?

yeah but its mainly a support karma guide and even though its not viable ive seen other nonviable guides on here
if i remember the guide he says that having heal is good and has other items to use to start with not just CV and mana crystal

I also fail to understand why would anyone who actually sent this kind of message to actually create a thread about it and claim it proudly.
Doesn't matter. When I read a guide, I look at the summoner spells and item build at the top. If they're not viable, it doesn't matter if later in the guide they talk about the correct ****. The point of the item build and summoners at the top and the skill order is so that the guide can be 'quick-referenced.' If the **** at the top is incorrect, the guide is BUNK.
Also, I'm not proclaiming it proudly. I'm trying to rally support and see if anyone would get behind me if I tried to organize a 'movement' to forcibly OUST all the ****ty stale guides stinking up the top slots.
Why the **** should I slave away for 20+ hours writing a Shyvana guide when I will NEVER overtake the #1 slot? I wouldn't care if the #1 guide was correct, but it's complete and utter ********. It's completely discouraging to guide writers. Case in point:
I find it highly discouraging that my Karma guide is not only #2, it's a DISTANT second, to a piece of **** novel of a guide. It's completely incorrect. That guide have 10 more % than me kind of haunts me. It's pretty much giving me the impression that it's 'better' than my guide. Which it is not.
Maybe I'm alone in this, but answer me this question. Does it bother you when #1 and #2 guides are both TERRIBLE? Wouldn't it be really dope if the #1 guide was the BEST guide?

First of all, I want to say you aren't going to get very far with a "movement." Mobafire is inherently and explicitly a democratic site in the sense that guides are ranked by votes and not direct quality control from higher-ups. This obviously has some lousy consequences, but that's the cost of having a site like this. The admins don't want this to have the same environment as solomid, so we're going to have to figure out other ways of improving quality control.
#1 guides which are horrible in content will (theoretically) not get Scouted, which is a step in the right direction. We can at least promote better guides to overtake worse ones, even if we can only offer one downvote to bring the top guide down if it's bad. There's not much more we can do about this since we can't control the voting habits of the site's members nor can we forcibly archive a guide because some good players think it's a disgrace. That's the price of freedom.
In the case of repeatedly refreshed (yet outdated) guides, this can be a punishable offense if it's severe enough. There have been guides in the past which have been forcibly archived due to the author repeatedly refreshing the filter without changing the content at all. If you think there's enough of a case to get a guide archived, report it and the mods and admins will sort it out.
Normally this comes close to the line of "calling out" someone on the forums which is considered a form of harassment. Since you strictly kept on the topic of the guide without being insulting to the author, I think it's best if I leave the thread up. Just keep in mind it's better to convince an author via PM, and it's better to bring rule-breakers to our attention by using the Report tool. Making threads for this kind of thing can spark discussion, but generally not change unless you propose a shift in site policy.

"Yo. You know, you're the reason I got into moba and writing guides!
Because your guide is so awful and out of date. I was insulted that the #1 karma guide is as poor as it is. I'm a 1950 elo mid player that mains Karma, so I wrote a Karma guide. Sadly it will never overtake yours, because for whatever reason, 1750+ people are stupid and thought that mana crystal start and clairvoyance are good.
You have a big opportunity here. You have 3 choices.
1. If you want to keep pimping your out-of-date incorrect guide, you can give stewardship to some random person, or you can just leave your guide as is. When the karma reworks happen, your guide will be 100% out of date, and I will petition to get your guide forcibly removed/archived. Your guide is so long-winded there is no way you have the commitment to change everything. Or maybe you do. I don't know.
2. Give me stewardship of your guide. I will completely gut the **** out of it, and change everything I see fit to make it a 100% VIABLE OPTIMAL AP KARMA MID GUIDE. I have played over 250 AP karma games, and have played her dozens of times in ranked. I am currently at 100% solo queue win rate with Karma on my main, and all those games were played above 1700 elo.
3. You bow out. You had a fantastic run, and you had one of the most popular guides on mobafire. You should pat yourself on the back that you wrote such a popular guide. Unfortunately, the information you wrote was incorrect and out of date THEN, and it's 1000% incorrect and out of date NOW. I can link you to some conversations had on the forums i've instigated, and you will see that anyone with a brain in their head (80% of the moba community) said that your guide is a blight. They were sad that all of the #1 slots for guides are completely wrong. The #1 shyvana guide said exhaust ignite. The #1 rammus guide says you should lane rammus. I personally hope and wish that you archive your guide.
Please let me know what course of action you plan to take. I'm not personally attacking you, I just really dislike the misinformation in your guide. Every day you leave your guide up, you do a disservice to this community.
(I LINKED MY GUIDE HERE, REMOVED LINK SO I'M NOT PIMPING)
I intentionally wrote my guide to be concise due to the recent rework coming up."
