they are doing an item overhaul for season 3 so probably new items for hybrid builds, they are talking about making on hit builds more viable
HOWEVER i honestly think hybrid builds will never be as good as going just one way

I believe that with trying to balance everything else, hybrids were pushed aside. However as others mentioned, with the overhaul in S3, we can(hopefully) expect hybrids to be remade into something fun.

personally, i find that hybrid builds are just not as strong as pure AD or pure AP.
