Yea, sure, IF YOU LIKE BEING BORED OUT OF YOUR MIND

They're not so much games as they are drugs for car junkies..

Honestly, racing games today are pretty similar to MMS(Modern Military Shooter) games. They're stuck in this ****ty circle of boring, uninnovative games.

I never thought i would agree with you Searz :D this day has come :D

yeah i did read the post and watch the videos and my point still stands about mario kart and motorstorm being the best racing games

and i played forza because my dad got it and i was bored and yes it did infact make me more bored, realistic racing games are terrible

but anyways it does look good, since they have multiplayer, but still its sorta...eh to me, i know its free and all but still doesnt look like too much

plus i dont really like the futuristic tronish style of the game, i prefer the style of motorstorm or even RAGE's racing portions

Realistic racing games and around 99% of the sports games.

Nothing is as boring as a game basing on going in circles or running from left to right and vice-versa.

I kinda remember "Have a N.I.C.E. day!" being fun in his days, being the first racing game I ever touched on PC.

But yeah, Mario Kart all the way.

Well, okay.. It's just weird that you said "im not much of a guy for realistic racing games" when the game in question clearly isn't realistic..

Ah, too bad. I really like it. Do try Nitronic Rush out tho, if you have the time.

Ya, it's nice when you just want some unskillful fun. Tho I like games that involve skill more.
Ever tried F-ZERO? I'm definitely getting F-ZERO vibes from Distance/Nitronic Rush and I like it. Give Nitronic Rush a try if you're the least bit interested, it's free after all.

Mario Kart is interesting because the driving part is actual way less than other racing games, skill cap aside, that's why it's fun or at least bearable for me.

If it wasn't it would be simply become that "going round and round" thing ... yuck.

Also comparing Fifa and Mario Soccer... I do admit having played Fifa some time, but definitely Mario Soccer in terms of fun.

Well, yea. I'd agree there. That's kind of why F-ZERO and Nitronic Rush are soo good.

I don't know anything about POD, but if it's anything like F-ZERO I'm guessing it is/was fun.

You should give the advanced/challenge levels in Nitronic Rush a try. They're freaking awesome. They involve racing on walls and ceiling and jumping between them with thrusters with totally BONKERS maneuvers. At the speed you're flying around in all kinds of crazy directions it's nigh impossible to keep track of what is even up or down XD
And it's not like you stick to the walls and ceiling, no, no. You gotta use your thrusters and keep your momentum up to make the jumps and even steer in the air to land properly.
TL;DR: it's the most fun I've ever had in a racing game.

Try to beat me! I've done 3 or 4 advanced levels, I believe. There was 6 total last I checked.
I did use a keyboard tho, I'm guessing it's easier with a controller.
