As for Nasus, I like that he's becoming so under-underrated, been able to poop on some common tops because of it, Jayce being the main one.

this is not a counter list it's a tier list. every champ on this list has counters. teemo is a strong pick against jax but definitely not an autowin. a good jax player will control his lane well enough to stay comparable on cs.
most likely the only reason you can win as nasus is with skill and the fact that 90% of the playerbase dont even know what his abilities do due to never seeing him. poor laning, poor midgame, average scaling (WTF NO HIS Q YO HIS Q!!!111). there's just nothing he brings to the table that other tops don't do better. his only useful spell for fights is wither (which good adcs will qss) and that is his only gapcloser. why get him for that when you can pick lee/malph and be 200% more useful in all phases of the game.
I was just answering a reaaaally back post about jax being insta-pwn on teemo. I'd never put him on tier 3, but it's not like I'm offended by it.
And of course I agree with you on the Nasus thing. I was just blabbering, I like him as a niche pick. Top lane has been having many poke rangeds and Nasus can deal pretty well against some of those, namely nid and jayce. Also, I love teamfighting with gauntlet.

GP just doesn't really do anything at any phase of the game. all he can do is farm and a farmed GP still does nothing (unless you win lane hard, but he can't).
Poppy is too crippled by her earlygame to be of any use. a coordinated team is going to be able to handle poppy in fights (but most likely will just rape her so hard early that she will have no items). there's just better instagib champs in the game that don't have a godawful laning phase, especially with the item changes.

for me shen is pretty close. his laning is not bad at all and his global presence in games is extremely unique and allows him to put pressure on the entire map without leaving his lane. though he doesnt have as much damage lategame his utility 100% makes up for it.
will reconsider kayle, i just haven't seen anyone get any good results with her in quite some time. i want to experiment with her and the item changes tho, will see.
Shen should be top of t2, his utility is great but he has trouble in most lanes nowadays from what i've seen.
Malphite should be lower, hes a lot worse off now that resists suck.
Riven should be a bit higher too, she snowballs so hard off of one kill on a gank its p ridiculous.
Rumble seems a bit high but I don't have the experience to speak about him.
