Hey guys, I play LoL since 1 week, but not very strategical. Now I read some stuff but IĀ“ve lots of questions to the game:

1. When I buy an item, like Hextech Gunblade: There is an passive and an active effect, are they both there without clicking something or must I push e.g. 1 to use the active of the item? And when there stands that you can use it once, is the effect then srsly one time? And when an item has e.g. 2 seconds, isnĀ“t it a bit crazy to push the button all 2 seconds or isnĀ“t it neccesary all the time ( I mean, push qwer and 12345 etc is a bit strange with one hand)

2. Are there any usage statistics of the champs?

3. IĀ“m level 14 now, are runes neccessary now? I heared that I should wait until I reach 21 and buy than the good runes.

4. The expensive champs arenĀ“t better than the cheap, are they? By a few matches a guy called me noob before the fight only because I picked Master Yi...

5. I saw many guides where the masteries tree is concipated not so like in the game. Will they be fixed or are there guides which respect it?

6. Is it better to buy e.g. 3 6300er or lots of the cheaper champs? I heared that on lv 30 you can ban champions for the match. Can anyone explain me this?

Strange questions, I hope somebody can help me...

1. It's as it says. Passive means you do not need to click it. However an active means that you must read its effects and click on it to activate them (it's like buying a skill as an item).

2. Not sure what you mean, but there are a bunch of sites that tell you the stats of every champion.

3. Yes, wait till you are able to purchase Tier 3 runes, since you'll be using those for the rest of your life.

4. Master Yi is just regarded as the easiest champion to play. False. The cost of the champion doesn't mean they're better or they aren't as good.

5. I think those are probably guides that have not been updated to Season 3, and are still running Season 2 masteries.

6. It's better to buy a lot of cheaper champions. The more champions you have, the better you are when you enter ranked (where both teams get to ban 3 champions of their choice).

I'd just like to throw in that when you buy your first champs, you want them to be somewhat flexible, yet good in everything it can do. And also check out their Facebook and YouTube for two free champs.

Yes wait until you can get three tier runes don't waste the IP on the other ones you wont be using

also try different play styles until you find the one you like playing best but learn every role regardless rather or not you will be playing them or not,

also anyone telling you your a noob for picking a low IP champ like Master Yi doesn't know what they are talking about. Pro players play every champ from 450 IP to 6300 IP, the whole IP/RP thing is just a way for riot to make money, not the meta for how good a champion is.

and one last tip when you buy an item with an active you can move it in your inventory to one of the first three slots so you don't have to click it you can just press 1, 2 or 3 ect. which is really good for potions and stuff just hit the key saves time instead of clicking it

Also, you can keymap the buttons to have 2 set to T, the button after QWER. Or if you have side mouse buttons.

Okay, ty guys for all answers, but I have 2 new:

1. My friend gave me his 10 Euro Paysavecard for 8 Euro because he quitted LoL. Now IĀ“ve 2180 RP, should I buy reduced champs or skins for it? IĀ“ve atm only 10 cheap champs. I know, Skins are nearly useless, but you only can buy them with RPs, but on the other hand ou can get 4 6300er champs for which you otherwise have to play 100 games or so. I canĀ“t decide...

You can buy skins ONLY with RP, while you can buy champs with IP aswell.

At the start I also said: Damn, skins are useless, why would anyone buy them?
Now I have a skin for pretty much 50% of the champs I play (which is a lot) :P

Skins are fun to have, especially those who change emotes and spells and stuff.

You could buy champs with RP, but indeed, I would only do that for a 6300 champ on sale :P

You could also buy IP boosts so you have even more choice for what to buy (including runes! :D)

I myself would at this moment would buy a skin with that RP :P, I don't have a skin for Swain yet :O
Change is gooooood

That is good for stats.

Anyway, concerning Riot Points, the most effective way to use them is for discounted skins, since champions can be bought with IP anyway. So you'll get the most usage out of them through skin purchases.

Yes, you click to activate the item which has an effect and the passive is the stats it gives. For example it will say 'unique passive' will provide lifesteal and spell vamp only once even if you buy multiple instances of the item

no just buy champions, you don't need to buy runes until level 30. Even then only buy tier 3 runes

no, most champions are generally pretty balanced regardless of pricing

They are probably season 2 masteries that haven't been updated

Okay, ty guys, but I couldnĀ“t decide, maybe I will buy 2 Champs and 2 Skins, because ~ 70 Matches for 2 6300er are very much... What have you done with your RPs? Maybe that will help me... Btw, I know, there isnĀ“t a best champ, but people say Darius is OP etc. What are your favourite champs, respectivily what do you think is the "best champ"?
