Shadow Assault
Damage reduced at later ranks to 120/170/220 from 120/190/260

The nerf isn't that bad, it's 60 base damage and 0.3 AD scaling, in exchange for much higher single-target burst.

It sucks, but assassins aren't meant to be game-breaking stuff, and Talon has had the highest win ratio overall since season 3 started, due to the fact that he can instantly kill a carry, then drop a load of massive AoE too. It was too strong, and even though it makes me sad, I agree with it.

Much higher single-target burst? Seriously? its +15% if you put 5 points into it... so at lvl 5 cutthroat will add 15%,

Meanwhile, you loose 20% from scaling nerf, and you loose 40 flat damage...

So if my AD is 200, i used to do 260 + 180 (.9x200) for a total of 440 TO EVERYONE
Now I do, 220 + 150 = 370 to everyone. Thats a HUGE difference if you were to map damage output over a 30 min game.

If the target is slowed, then I add 15% assuming the damage bonus is added last (i don't know that it is) which still only puts me at 425. So how is that a much higher single target damage boost?

They should have just left it as is and said, "talon had a bug, but fixing it would make him OP so Cutthroat will no longer do 15% bonus damage. That's the nerf, so this is a tool tip fix... "

It's not like talon didn't have the nerf coming to him anyway.

Yes, much higher single-target burst. Calculate and try and confirm it's wrong before doubting me, I did my homework before stating that.

Ult base damage decreased from 260 to 220 at level 3. It hits twice, so the total damage went down from 520 to 440. But cutthroat amplifies that by 15%, aka 1.5, so 1.5 x 440 = 660. Talon's ult on a single target increased by 140 base damage at level 18. His ratio was decreased from 0.9 to 0.75, it hits twice, so in total it decreased from 1.8 to 1.5; Cutthroat amplifies that by 1.5, so 1.5 x 1.5 = 2.25. Once again, rather than decreasing in damage, its ratio went up by 0.45, but only to a single target.

I'm honestly not sure if Cutthroat keeps on amplifying the bleed effect from Noxian Diplomacy after cutthroat is gone, or if the bleed starts doing less damage after the 3 seconds are up, but assuming it does, the bleed ratio was decreased from 1.2 to 1.0. 1 x 1.5 = 1.5. Bleed ratio actually increased by 0.3 rather than decreased by 0.2. Assuming it doesn't and only half the bleed lasts through cutthroat, 0.5 x 1.5 + 0.5 = 1.2. Ratio actually increased by 0.05, if that's how the amplification works. Of course, the ratio of his 2 auto-attacks both increased from 1.0 to 1.5 each, and the ratio on Rake increased from 1.2 to 1.8, as well as the base damage having increased.

The ONLY part of Talon's single-target damage that didn't benefit from this patch, was the BASE damage on his bleed. Went down from 90 to 50, 50 x 1.5 = 75, or 25 x 1.5 + 25 = 62.5. In both cases, the base damage hasn't increased, but even in the worst-case scenario, it's only gone down by 27.5 damage, whereas the rest of his burst has increased considerably. Also, the bleed is barely noticeable late-game anyway because you kill people in about 1.6 seconds, and they only take bleed damage for like 0.8 seconds or so.

So yes, much higher single target burst. Unfortunately though, he's lost 120 AoE base damage per target, and a 0.3 AD ratio on his AoE. Not crippling, but certainly weaker than before.
