She got indirectly nerfed...I think. Maybe it's was a "direct" one all planned out.

Viable but she's significantly weaker in season 3.
Attack Speed got nerfed across the board
Most top lane bruisers are going full tank, like Sunfire Aegis into Warmog's Armor. Unfortunately for Irelia she doesn't really scale as well as other champions like Darius and Renekton who have high base damages and can get away with building full tank and not losing out on too much. Also, I don't really think she got much out of Black Cleaver, at least not as much as other bruisers.

EXACTLY. Fortunately, Riot is still human and felt some sort of pity to buff Trinity Force slightly in the previous patch.

this is basically all that needs to be said. botrk is going to be simply amazing after the patch. She's going to be reaaaal fkin good after the patch and still be really safe and counter some fotm champions as well.

True damage is still true damage early on. Also she herself is a Warmogs abuse, and she's effectively immune to CC for the most part. She can out maneuver and kill a lot of her opponents.
So she is still a strong pick?
Just not as good as she used to be..
