Why that assumption, lol? From where do you get the conclusion that if war could be stopped, it must be done without religion?
I must say, the atheists have been poorly represented by you.
Yes indeed.

The only conclusion I can draw from this is that Cuddowls needs to watch these episodes of South Park (in order). Although, you could probably get by with just watching the first episode.

cudd the point is that even without religion there will still be wars, it was kind of obvious
I don't know about you guys, but to me the fact that conflict will always exist is fairly obvious.
But I also believe that religion is a trigger for conflict(one of MANY). By removing a trigger I believe we'll have less of it, even if the difference is rather small.

I'm sure that's how it went down, you know, those geniuses over at Jesus Corp. started mass producing bible propaganda with high technology like the assembly line and the conveyer belt and were smart enough to make God all that
And there goes condescending Moon again.

I'm sure all you atheists and God haters are just beaten to a pulp and persecuted for your beliefs on these forums

I have nothing against Christians. It is just annoying when they try to make me believe in their god.

I always find it fun when a Jehova witness comes by.
I always discuss about philosophy with them while they try to convince me god exists.
It is really fun :P
They never come by again anymore though :(

" I have nothing against Christianity, but I'm just going to insult all major religions in the world and liken it to having imaginary friends"
I'd really like to ask you what sect of Christianity "tries to make you believe in their God". I doubt you know, but I'm just curious or maybe you could give an example

That makes no sense..
Especially not as a response to what I wrote.

People...Everyone has their beliefs and both of these groups cant prove their point.
It's impossible to prove that god exists. Likewise it's impossible to prove god DOESN'T exist.
Get it?
This argument has no point, and is just going to be a flame war until it gets locked ._.
As to why god doesn't help, Christians will say, cause we need to fight through our hardships alone to make us stronger, atheists will say god doesn't exist.
Which one is correct, you ask?
Neither. Both can be taken as correct or incorrect.
I, personally am stuck in between. I have my beliefs, but i don't necessarily believe in "God".
I believe that everyone has their own beliefs, their own version of the truth and their own way to deal with problems. Everyone has someone they blame, everyone has someone they fall back to when they need a piece of advice or wisdom.
Everyone has that little thing they believe in when some "Miracle" happens. Our mind's search for explanations. Sometimes a rational conclusion as to why this or that happened is unable to be made, and then the boundaries of our mind stretch out to the irrational. Some of us believe in magic, others in ghosts, a third group of people believes in the power of the human mind, a fourth group believes in god...
That doesn't mean we should start bashing each other because i believe this and you believe that. The only way to end this argument would be to start it like this "HEY, lets have an argument as to why god doesn't help, but obviously in the end I'd have to get it my way and you would have to stop believing in everything you used to believe in so i win in the end, even if i have nothing to stabilize my thesis on." Of course, this can be taken the other way around. "HEY, let's have an argument about why god doesn't help, but in the end you need to accept some illogical reason and believe in him, forgetting everything you ever believed in!!"
Eh, but getting through to some people is impossible..
