I feel like this should be directed at Riot.

What can we do though? Come up with our own icons for each tier / division?

He's talking about the mobafire ones. My only response can be "meh yourself." Many other people have said they like them. Also the ones in your profile are sweet.

If his complaint is that the icons aren't swordy enough, then that's a Riot thing, right? The icons here were swordy because Season 2 Riot emblems were swordy. Now the Riot emblems aren't, so ours are not.

I don't see swords on any of these "official" Riot icons:
