you die too often I think thats your problem.
I'd rather have a 9/0 talon in my team than a 17/9.
remember as you get a spree you are worth more gold + you'll usually have a pretty high level and killing some1 with higher level grants quite a lot exp.
Try playing with 0 deaths

Yeah, lots of my deaths are pretty pointless and would have been easily avoided, really. I need to work on that. But often I die for 2/1 trades, isn't that worth it? Assuming my team follow it up of course, because otherwise I'm giving them shut down gold for nothing, and 2 of them are getting gold for it, whereas I'm the only member of my team getting gold for killing them.
ER MAH GERD, LOOK, I'M BETTERING, I'M BETTERING.

Solo Q, no premade this time. I 3rd picked Talon, they "countered" me with Jayce. I think Jayce went 21 mastery points in offense rather than defense, because he was actually quite squishy; which made him no more a counter to me than Cassiopeia is.
I was beating him in-lane at the start. Kayle ganked mid when I was level 4 and I had to flash away from her as soon as I saw her to avoid taking damage that could potentially turn the fight in Jayce's favour. At level 5 I activated my elixir and scored first blood on him. Next time I entered the lane, I had a Brutalizer and a still active Elixir vs his Doran's Blade. I harassed him with 1
Rake, waited for it to come off of CD, then insta-gibbed him at level 6 while he was still 5. And then after that he just really didn't stand a chance. Even with 2
Doran's Blades and a
Ninja Tabi I was still extremely close to 1-shotting him. If I didn't kill him, he was forced off the lane.
I destroyed 2 early mid towers, and ganked bot twice, which secured bot lane's victory, along with the gold from my towers. And Rumble just plain beats Irelia, so our Rumble won top too.

It's really not worth it tbh. The less deaths you have, the harder you'll carry.
Missing out on exp, cs, possible kills and giving enemies gold just isn't worth it. :P
Glad to see you're successful again, see, less deaths = harder carry :)
Also grats on finally getting a scout, good to have you. :)
Oh my god Koksei are you SOME KIND OF WIZARD WTF.

2nd flawless victory in a row wtf. Koksei's words are magic.
I don't really know what kind of **** up went on in champ select. I was busy arguing with our 4th pick and trying to convince him to let me go mid even though I was the last-pick of the entire game, but he refused and locked in Anivia anyway. Sighing irl, I looked at my champions to see what I should pick for solo top, when I noticed Malphite. But that couldn't be right, could it? I checked our bans. I checked the enemy team's bans. I checked our picks. I checked the enemy team'ss picks. There was no Malphite ANYWHERE. I have no idea why no one noticed he was open, but that is the funny story of how the last pick ended up being the one picking Malphite. I figured I'd do all right vs Rengar anyway.
At the start of the game, our Graves stood in that little patch of brush on the purple side that's on the right side of mid, near the entrance to the blue buff. While he was sitting there calmly going about his day, he saw 5 of their team just walk past him into the brush. We pinged Xin Zhao back and I came mid from covering our red and surprise initiated on the enemy team. It was a 4/1 trade, with our Graves getting a double kill, our team getting first blood, and me getting a kill + assist.
In-lane, I was crushing Rengar, but he had so much sustain and harass that he was able to hold me at bay for ages until in the end, he had higher Hp than me, and I was also low on mana. Rather than risk anything, I recalled and got a Doran's Ring and some wards. The Doran's Ring, along with the crystal flask I'd started the game with, kept my harass on Rengar constant, and hurting like hell. At level 6 I was able to kill him using my ultimate, and I got his ultimate down too in the process. ( My Q slammed into him about a second after he went into stealth, ahue )
I got Sorcerer's Shoes, and after harassing Rengar a little, Xin came to gank him, and he got a kill on Rengar, with me getting an assist. I wasn't bothered that he didn't let me get the kill, I was ahead anyway, and I hadn't bothered wasting my ignite on such an easy kill.
I was slightly lowish after this, and I saw Oriana teleporting to the enemy minions, so I backed off to my tower safe and sound. Xin however, got caught by Vi near top lane and ran towards our 2nd top tower, being chased by Oriana and Vi. I kept Vi from reaching him with my Q, but Oriana and Vi turned to me and tried to kill me instead, even though I was extremely near to my top lane tower. Vi initially tried to tank the tower, then realized she couldn't do it and walked out of tower range, which caused the tower to focus Oriana. It hit her once before I used my ultimate on her and killed her, which gave me her blue buff. Using the speed bost my Q on Oriana had given me, I caught up to Vi and was able to kill her too, using the
Ignite I'd rightfully not used on Rengar. And so I got her red, trololol.
I got a giant's belt and a chain vest, eventually killed Rengar again using my ultimate, I recalled, completed my Sunfire cape while my buffs ran out, and get this. Next time I walked onto the lane with Rengar there, I Q'd him and attacked him in a chase that ended at his 2nd top tower, with him dead, and my ultimate still off of cooldown. This was without the red buff. Lol. Malph stronk. Anyway, my team was dragoning, and Vi + Oriana were preparing to try and steal it, so I went down towards where they were, and they were unable to steal the dragon, presumably due to lack of vision, or idk. But Vi never dashed in, so I suppose that's why. They didn't notice me walking past their mid lane minions, so when I reached them I ulted in and killed Oriana, which made me legendary, and we killed a few more peeps, then nothing else really happened until 20 minutes in when they surrendered. I could tell from 12 minutes in that they would do that, when the team stats were 11/2.
I didn't carry this game obviously, every lane won, but I was the player with the best score, I got the first tower down, and I got the most plays done too. Happy about this game. :)
Yeah, but like, if I see a chance to initiate a fight that will start with me directly killing 2 of them, then dying to the rest of their team's focus, isn't that worth it, as my team is 4v3? Their team will have the shut down gold, but they won't be able to B and get items because the 4 people remaining on my team will be fighting them. We presumably score an ace and out-gain the shut down gold they received, as well as get some objectives done, and my death would have been worth it, right?
But then again, there is always the chance that their team is still stronger than ours and wins 3v4, I guess. Sigh.
But anyways thanks. And I've been looking forward to being able to scout guides for ages. :P

nope not worth it. its better to just pick people off if you're afraid of your team sucking and throwing the teamfight. and it's way easier for you to win teamfights 5v5 when ur alive then 4v3 when ur dead.

I guess. Not dying isn't always good though, I do think that sometimes, you can do plays that end with you dead, but end up being well worth it. For example, in this next game, the enemy Karthus was 10/2 and complained about his team being **** because he lost, but really, he wasn't doing anything to win, he was just playing it safe, and getting kills when kills came to him. I spent the entire game making risky plays which sometimes ended in me dying, and even though I didn't have as fancy a score as his, I hard-carried my team, and was really the only reason we won.

But I do admit that at least 2 of my deaths were stupid, easily avoidable deaths though. Had I played it properly I would have been 14/4. I'll try not to repeat the same mistakes next time.
In case you're wondering, the mistakes were that one time, when I was counter-ganking the enemy team who had 4 people bot, I burst Ez and instead of activating Tiamat at the end of my main burst then ult'ing, I ult'ed, realized I hadn't used Tiamat, used Tiamat, and died because I was out of stealth. If I'd done Tiamat before my ult, I would have easily lived AND got the kill. ;x
And the other time, was I was recalling in the dragon pit after having dragoned, and saw Karthus and Ez coming towards me through a ward we had in the tri-brush. I thought "l0l i can take them" and ulted to burst Ez then run off, but it turns out they had it pinked and Karthus was able to slow me and damage me even during stealth. I killed Ez, but it wasn't really worth it. 1 kill in exchange for 1 kill and an assist is bad, zzzz.

Not if you CC the enemy jungler when Baron gets low on HP (which I assume they didn't)
Actually, I DID E to Jarvan to try and silence him, but for some reason he was instantly able to jump through anyway and smite. The result was Jarvan and some of the others on their team attacking my team with a baron buff, with me on the other side of the baron wall wondering wtf just happened. ;x
