What do you think a pan-galactic civilization with super-advanced technology in desperate search of resources would do if they discovered that their home planet is now inhabited by a primitive race who are of no use to them?

Imma just throw "attack on titan" into the mix. The animes new this season and so far its pretty epic :D (I mean that in the literal sense not the "dis here be epic" sense).

Shingeki No Kyojin. I hate translated titles, they always sound meaningless.

You want a poorly-translated title? Here you go. FYI "Attack on Titan" is the official English subtitle used in the source material. 進撃の巨人 ~ Attack on Titan.

The English titles of Japanese anime/games do not necessarily mean the same thing as the Japanese name, and will occasionally be Engrish (but still retained by translators out of respect for the original material). For instance, "東方妖々夢" does not mean "Perfect Cherry Blossom".

Yes it's true, but what I meant is that the english titles aren't as appealing as the japanese titles, in a way at least. For example, I'd prefer if they call it "Attack on THE Titans" or "Attack On Eoten". I'm not sure if you get what I mean, but it's more like a tick I have with titles :$

Nodame Cantabile is too damn good! I will write a little review about it once I finish the final season.

I've started the second season, too. For taking place in Paris, it immediately strikes me how incredibly Japanese all the European characters are. This is something that always bothers me in anime; few anime are very good at representing non-Japanese characters. It bothered me a bit in the first series, too, with the European characters in that as well, but since it was set in Japan I largely let it slide as a very standard anime failing. The change in setting is what, honestly, makes the cultural failings particularly egregious.

Trust me, It's not that bad for you. French is my native language, just imagine how cringing it was for me to see the way Parisians were represented, the accent they use, the "reckless" use of vocabulary in those french scenes. But what annoys me most is, why the hell do all french people know how to speak Japanese...I know it's for the sake of not using subtitles for the whole episode that they just dub the scenes that are supposed to be in French yet it's...annoying.
