This is somewhat spontaneous. Nevertheless, Searz, Baka and Yaya. What are your opinions on Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Hopefully you two have watched it because it would be very sad if you have not, seeing as you two are both devoted anime connoisseur, this is an anime that you should have watched by now.
Also Chemist, your opinion would also be appreciated.
FMA Brotherhood is really good for its kind. It definitely stands out in its field. What really sets it apart from the other typical shounen action anime is because it's really mature for a shounen-designed anime, aswell as how the theme of alchemy was interpreted. Alchemy fascinates me (This concept amazes me everytime I think about it: "In order to gain something you have to sacrifice something of the same value"). so I easily got caught in FMA, but I'm sure that the quality of the action and good storyline are enough to justify why it's a great anime to watch.

There's a lot more **** in anime than there is in manga.
Remember that manga you talked about, Aku No Hana? The anime adaptation is apparently so ****py, it didn't make it past the 6.0/10 mark on myanimelist lol.

if you haven't seen it with the original voice actors you should if you don't mind reading subs. they are far better imo.

Oh god how much I hate dubs...dubbing always fail to correctly translate the tone the character is using to talk. Some feelings or attitudes like sarcasm, lies, shyness, anger and such can't be expressed as good and precise with dubs than with the original vocals, so it's better if you stick with eng subs than dubs in general.
so true. so true.

calling me out eh? I think I have already posted this but fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is my favorite anime of all time. helps that I am a chemistry nerd. there is actually a good number of science in the series also and it is pretty accurate. the original anime also had some science concepts.
the concept of "In order to gain something you have to sacrifice something of the same value" is to me an interpretation of the law of conservation of mass. they also point out more so fullmetal alchemist (not brotherhood) that this is not the only thing required for chemical reaction.
overall good ****. I already put this out but for me from what I have seen (which is very limited mind you)
1) FMA brotherhood
2) cowboy bebop
3) samurai champloo
4) trigun

Well, it also has SAO at 8.3 and Stein's;Gate at 9.2, so I wouldn't trust those ratings even with a grain of salt..
The anime is apparently done by a studio with bad history, so I'm probably gonna ignore the anime. But I'm actually thinking of reading it.
At first I was mildly interested at best, but I got curious and investigated that Mangaka's other works.
I read Shino-chan wa Jibun no Namae ga Ienai which is an incredibly cute story about a girl that can't even say her own name. And Boku wa Mari no Naka which is a... I haven't got a clue, but it's really cool so far(not done yet).
They're both so very weird and unique. I love it.
I can recommend reading those two to pretty much anybody. Especially the first one since it's very short.

Both the animes are adapted from the manga.
The first anime follows the story maybe halfway(?), then diverges. It's pretty terrible. (nazi germany up in that ****, lol)
The Brotherhood follows the story of the manga all the way and I've heard that it does a lot of things better than the first too.
I do believe the manga is the best of them (since that seems to be a very, very common trend), but I can't make a statement on that yet since I haven't seen Brotherhood..

Yo, bio.
As a person knowledgeable in the field of biochemistry, what's your take on the chemical reactions of the "Titans" in Shingeki no Kyojin? (I have an idea, but I'm rubbish at chemistry :3)
Of course, it's just fiction, but I find it fun to speculate over such things every now and again when I find something I really like.
If you haven't read or seen any of it, I recommend that you do so.
The manga is AMAZING and the anime is really good so far(it's airing this season, EP5 JUST UP, BRB WATCHING).
The manga is better than the anime. The pacing is probably the biggest difference, because they approach the storyline differently; the manga jumps in the timeline, while the anime follows it chronologically. The anime is still very good though.
Manga here.
Anime here.

hmmmm looking at links now....this is going to take some time to read and so forth. i like the mystery in it though. seems like a lot is going to be solved throughout the story which I like. hard to make any initial theories...I take it you want me to examine the titans no? seems like a lot of people are trying to figure out how they came to be and how they function. will have to get back to you.

There is much better pacing with the story and the characters are more refined.
If you have read the manga than there isn't that much to get from it. Apart from the bizarre experience with some of the weirder episodes and everything being very dramatic (it's very fitting, don't get the wrong idea)
Brotherhood is rated the number one anime by viewers:

I can personally say that you will enjoy it regardless of whether you have read the manga or not, but as I said before; there isn't as much to get out of it in terms of story.
The music is a big plus:
