If you insist, I'll watch it right after Nodame Cantabile.

I watched all NGE movies and the series aswell. I liked it but not to the point where I'll go fanboy rampage on it, so this better be good.

PS: I already Know it's not better than 2.0, and that Ayanami Rei isn't main, I'm disappointed already

Okay I've finished watching Nodame Cantabile Finale.

It was quite good frankly. The romance was great, the comedy was great aswell, and the plot wasn't heavy on the heart at all. Every episode that ends made you want to watch the next one.

The music theme is the strongest point of this anime though. I've never enjoyed classical music until I found out about this anime. It wasn't cliché at all, to the point I've caught myself humming sonates and concertos in class.

The only drawback to this anime is that they could have invested more effort in the art/animation because there are some idle scenes that needed more animation; but that's not a big deal really.

Anyway I definitely recommend this if you want a good romcom with good music :p

Now I'll be watching [C] The Money of Soul and Possibility Control.

The title and synopsis is so badass, I don't care if it's a bad anime (rated 7.54 only), I just feel like I should watch it asap lol.

Will update once I finish it.

But what annoys me most is, why the hell do all french people know how to speak Japanese...I know it's for the sake of not using subtitles for the whole episode that they just dub the scenes that are supposed to be in French yet it's...annoying.

Honestly, this wasn't too hard for me to just suspend my disbelief on. I'm pretty sure that they're supposed to be speaking French, as evidenced in the first episode. It got a little stranger as characters moved around Europe to areas where I'd reasonably expect different languages to be spoken, but I don't really recall any areas where the language that I'd expect was a language that the characters involved wouldn't reasonably know anyway. What I found significantly more immersion breaking was the casual reference to an overnight train from London to Italy and the Japanese-style folded futons in the closet of a hotel in Brussels.

Also, the ending of Nodame Cantabile Finale was one of the worst I've seen in a while. It just flatly didn't actually resolve anything. At all. Seriously, it was a massive non-ending, and I feel like it's bad enough to reflect poorly on the series as a whole.

I watched [C] Control (as it's titled on Hulu), but I don't remember much of it, honestly. It wasn't terribly good, but neither was it bad enough to make any kind of lasting impression on me. If you want to watch it, go for it. It's a reasonably fun way to waste some time, as long as you don't expect anything more from it.

I just started watching Hellsing. So far i love it. I think someone here suggested it to me, whoever you were, I thank you. :]

The series or the OVAs? I've seen the series, which was excellent except for the whole part where it got cancelled, and the first nine OVAs, which I found started to lose what made them special and feel too much like standard shonen in the last couple.

You know what's fun? Endings that actually involve things ending are fun.

Yeah, I'm kinda' butthurt over the Nodame Cantabile Finale ending.

Just watched episode 2-4 of Shingeki No Kyojin. Here's my thoughts on the series so far:

Episode 1 was really good. Could have been better if not for stupid overdramatization.

Episode 2 was amazing. They added some new content that wasn't in the manga, lengthened some and changed some of it. Right at the beginning of the episode they added a preaching fellow and oh my god was that amazing. ****ing genius.

Episode 3 was pretty decent. The manga is clearly superior in the corresponding part to this. Why did they add that whole walking in the forest in moonlight thing?.. That was completely illogical and just plain stupid >.>
One of Mikasa's comments right at the end of the episode was completely mistranslated(by the official subs which most groups use) and it actually meant the exact opposite of what the subs said.

Episode 4 was good. The Scouting Legion is apparently translated as the "Survey Corps" in the anime. Yea.. Scouting Legion is a lot, lot better.. But hopefully this will be resolved with proper subs.

Overall the main difference between the manga and the anime are:
1. That the manga makes jumps in the timeline of the story for the sake of pacing and sometimes to explain relevant things. I really like those. They add another layer to the story that makes you piece things together.
Apparently some people don't like having to use their brain (like Dodger from the manga podcast I watch), so the anime took the path of just unraveling the story chronologically, which in my opinion makes the pacing worse. How disappointing :(

2. Thematic difference. The manga is more depressing :)
A big theme is how insignificant human life is and how desperately humankind is clinging to its existence. It's quite depressing really; just when things are starting to look up things go ****ing ape**** again.
The anime has less impact in this regard, which might be a result of worse pacing because they tell the story chronologically.

3. They try to dramatize things too much in the anime. There's an overabundance of crying, screaming, vibrating eyes, speed lines and magical wind. I guess it's better that they're trying too hard rather than not trying at all though.

調査兵団 is actually closer to "Recon Corps" than "Scouting Legion". Scouting Legion does sound better though.

I wasn't gonna watch Shingeki no Kyojin but I'm a firm believer in not judging a series just cause of 1 or 2 episodes so I decided to stick with the series and it's starting to get interesting.

Oh and uh..I don't know if any of you are Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo fans but:

So sad T.T I just recently finished this anime and it became one of my favorite animes (along with Fairy Tail and Naruto) and it's already ending..whyy :(

Oh, lol. It seems I was right in thinking you were a lost cause.
All the hints were there; you reading Rave Master, having a To-Love-Ru avatar and sig(I think. I only read ~3 chapters; it was awful), writing down every single manga/anime you've ever watched.
This may come as a surprise to you: Tite Kubo (the author of Bleach) wanted to end bleach like 100chapters back, but he was talked into continuing it. And now the story is ****ed up beyond repair, which I'm sure you didn't even notice.

How am I a lost cause just cause I like series that you don't? That's just funny because it makes no sense.
