Do you think MobaFire's Menu Bar needs a rework?
i voted no, however, i think that the recent dicussion should be visible more often(maybe whenever you are in something community related like blogs or this forum post?)
and the bar at the very top where your username is has plenty of space for an edit profile button ;)

Thanks to IPodPulse for this <3^
I say yes.
Let's say you have a green car. The car works fine, but you don't like the green. So what do you do? You change the color.
Looks very nice, love it!
EDIT: Jhoi, you wouldn't happen to have an untexted version of that toolbar would you? Would love to turn it into a ToC.

Well, it's not so much about colour, but functionality too. The suggested design is sleek and easy to navigate. MobaFire's current bar is confusing, to be honest. We've had people ask in the forums how to start a new guide. Some people don't know about the Q&A and wiki, both of which are valuable resources.
Veng: Um, it's really dodgy because I butchered it. You'd probably be better off screen shotting it from the Oceania LoL website and editing it in Photoshop yourself. If you want what I did, am happy to send you the PSD of it.

OBVIOUSLY it wouldn't be exactly the same. I'm not suggesting that Matt and Flash copy it exactly (design plagiarism?), I just like the sleek design.
Basically I was just suggesting that the menu bar could do with a redesign to make it more compact and appealing and used the LoL one as an example. Wasn't suggesting that MobaFire should copy the LoL one :)

I became especially aware of the not-so-attractive menu bar when I was cruising through the new Oceania website for LoL. Below is a comparison of the two menu bars. And below that, my take on what would be a far more intuitive menu bar for MobaFire. Obviously this is just a suggestion, but yeah (excuse the **** Photoshop'ing, just wanted you to see what I see).
OBVIOUSLY it wouldn't be exactly the same. I'm not suggesting that Matt and Flash copy it exactly (design plagiarism?), I just like the sleek design. So, hear me out. I've just made up menu options, but this is what I'd imagine would be under each group:
Builds & Guides
- Clicking on this will bring browsers to the "search" page.
- Drop down would be similiar to the one we have now but "Free/Newest" would be to the very left, as most likely, that is what people want to see. Next would be the "most read" etc list, with the "special guest authors" above or below that. Then far right would be "Craft Guide". I would remove the "build guides" section completely.
Game Data
- I would make a new landing page for this that allows users to pick from a myraid of places to visit.
- I would move the Q&A to a more noticable spot, same with the wiki.
Competitive Scene
- Clicking on this would go to a new landing page that allows users to follow the links to eSports Central and Tournaments AND to the "make your own team" page.
Community
- Would obviously go to forums, blogs, social sites (Twitter, Facebook etc), even MobaFireTV Youtube channel).
MobaFire TV
- Has a question mark because I think it can go in media.
Media
- All live streams
- All videos
- Twitch TV portal etc
Craft Guide
- Most important aspect of MobaFire highlighted right smack bang in the middle of the page, accesible for anyone, regardless of which page they're on.
- Hovering over it would bring up help links (like support forum, my Guide Guide etc)
Thoughts?
