Do you like the idea of a "Design a Champion" tool?

You know what would be totally cool and amazing? If MobaFire members could design their own items/champions sheets/profiles. That would be so completely epic. So obviously these champions/items wouldn't be logged into the database, but people would be able to view them and comment and maybe even rate.

Sort of like this: http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/champion/alistar-4
Except using the old version, so no one can get confused about which champions are "real" or not!

See, this would be the editor!

We already have the technology!

Except it'd have to be formatted to actually USE the inputs that are available (tips and tricks, recommended items etc). Just a section of the website where people can actively come and share their ideas of new champions/items in an easy to use manner that looks impressive and realistic.

It'd be the ultimate design tool. People from everywhere would come to use it and upload art for their champion, see the stats for their champion at level 18, show a recommended build etc etc etc and then share it with their friends! Friends then can come view it, comment on it, and even rate it.

There could even be competitions - monthly or whatever - of the best designed champion. I would LOVE to participate in something like that D:

I know this is somewhat niche, but I do believe it'd be an excellent addition to the customisability of MobaFire and add a new reason for people to visit and play at MobaFire.

I don't know if I was clear enough with what I am proposing, but I'm too excited by the idea :D

BEST THING??? I can't find a website that has already done this. It'd be unique!

tldr;
> People can design their own champions/items by filling in a few fields of information and uploading pictures
> Press "Publish" and you get an interactive stat sheet/character sheet
> Characters/items can be viewed from your profile, probably next to guides/threads
> You can rate and comment champions/items designed by MobaFire members
> Total awesomeness

Er, I don't really get it O.O
Isn't the Champion & Item Ideas forum section basically this, but not well layed out?

There aren't that many submissions in that section, and most of them are designed to be incredibly unbalanced. What changes here?

I'd need a little bit more explanation of what would actually be achieved in addition to what we already have.

- no vote.

You have a champion idea. But it's only in text unless you have Photoshop and can make awesome graphics. I'm proposing a tool that will do that for you. There will be text fields where you input the champion's stats (name, lore, skills etc) and graphics (splash art etc). The tool will then generate a champion statistics sheet for you. So you can see, in all its glory, what your champion would look like as an actual LoL champion. And then, when you're done, other people can have a look, comment and vote on it.

Is that clearer?

Let me make a quick mock up.

Okay, so I completely made this champion up on the spot. Apparently she's like Udyr with 4 abilities right from the bat. She's also like LeBlanc, wherein she has an ability to cast one of her other abilities again with more damage.

Anyway.

So I would type all this stuff out into an editor tool thing. I'd type her lore, her abilities, how much her health scales per level, whatever. I'd also upload a few images of her abilities and her splash art.

Then I'd hit publish and in front of me would be something like this (remember, this is a quick mock up!!!):

And then maybe you look at it and go, hey, that champion is too similar to Sona. So you'd comment in the comment box and downvote. But you liked the author's idea and want to check if they've made anything else. So you click on their name and it brings you to the other champions they have created.

Thoughts?! :D

I myself like it aswell, however, I don't think it will add a lot to the site. The Item and champion idea tab in the forums is not that popular (or just not so popular recently).

It would be a waste if a lot of work is implemented in something not a lot of people would use.
Change is gooooood

As a game designer I support this but I doubt it's that easy to implement or even design. Besides it's not entirely unique, the League of Legends wiki allows Custom stuff as well.
