As the title says, was wondering about Onhit-plank. I mean his Parrrley has some nice synergy with Tiamat/ Ravenous Hydra and Iceborn Gauntlet, turning his q into a mid range aoe damage + slow. (+since he still counts as melee iceborns effect is full size + power on Parrrley) and the active on Tiamat helps his close up encounters. Even without their effects, the stats on these items all benefit Gangplank in some way (armor, damage, lifesteal, mana, cdr).

So main the question is, what's wrong with building these items? I mean aside from the fact that it isn't crit-plank.

I get the feeling I may be missing something here, so please leave whatever advice you can :)

Ravenous and Iceborn are fine for Gangplank, there is not much to say about it (since you already covered the most) :P

Tiamat/ Ravenous Hydra procced by Parrrley deal your attack damage, not the damage from parrley. This makes those items kinda not worth after all. Iceborn Gauntlet is pretty good item on him though and so is Ravenous Hydra if you are going to push a lot.

@Janitsu Well, I was thinking Parrrley with Tiamat + Iceborn Gauntlet would still be pretty decent without parrley boost since iceborns passive also spreads damage over the area and not just on a single target.

Muramana is a nice way for this type of build. It does great amount of damage and allows you a very defense focused build. Gauntlet, Heart, etc...
He is gonna kill you!!!

Hmmm, replace Tiamat with Muramana, then build Iceborn Gauntlet as it provides armour + mana + proc damage and slow (little ap is useful for ult + heal). Then you could build either Frozen Heart (so much ice XD) against heavy ad opponents, or Banshee's Veil against ap.
Boots would be built to occasion (as ususal) so that leaves two slots open.
I suppose the last two items would be wholly situational though. Say a Guardian Angel or Warmog's Armor if you're dieing/ are acting as the tank/initiator for the team. Or maybe an Infinity Edge to help take down squishies.
Thoughts?

gp can build most ad/cdr/tankitems thats pretty much the only saving grace xD

just change up according to situation and roll with the flow.

a good gp-player doesnt have a fixed build but changes it to the situation/matchup/comp ...

a good player in general adjusts their items to the situation, I was just wondering if there was a niche build no-one had tried before :3

Muramana + Iceborn = OP for this GP *o*
You can even add Wit's End if you need some AS, and still some on-hit effects.
