Should yi be nerfed ??

Hello everyone.I m just an average LoL player and on this forum i d like to discuss the new rework on master yi. During the last month Riot tried to make yi a bit more competitive for higher division games. So she actually ''deleted'' the AP yi playstyle and made yi a pure melee AD carry.
Well in my opinion that rework was a total failure. Not only it didnt manage to make yi a competitive champion for higher division games but it also created a monster for lower division games. Yi s main purpose has always been ''Hit and Run''. He had nothing ''tricky'' on him like similar melee adc champions (for ex trynda and fiora). He was always the kind of champion to be picked by newbie players who liked to have a good kill score and were actually achieving it just cause the enemy didnt know how to play well.
In fact with a good cc and focus yi is total zero. But ofc that means the team knows how to cooperate well. So in higher divisions none s gonna pick yi. In addition the lower division teams cant cooperate well and is quite easy for yi to get fed. With the new rework they actually created a yi that can kill tanky champs with just 2 or 3 hits. So the problem is that right now even if you re a good player you cant beat yi on ur own (no matter how much fed you are) unless your team is actually capable of cooperating with you and play in smart way.
So in my opinion yi should be back to the way it was or nerfed or get reworked totally in new playstyle cause right now all it does is being a useles champ for higher elo and an op champ that ruins games in low elo. Trust me im in silver and i see all my games get ruined.....

Yes he needed a nerf. He just got nerfed this patch. Judging by the severity of the nerf, he should still be pretty strong, but hopefully no longer permaban material in solo queue.

Also your speech about how he stomps lower elos is rather silly. People in bronze and silver complain every day about one champ or another and how it stomps low elo. Plenty of champs are capable of stomping, you just have to be fairly skilled with them.

Highlander - 70% cd reduction on kills and assists
This is the biggest nerf on him this patch, he will now never get full resets, bb easy pentas. I still play him in diamond, and he is still crazy strong.

If you get an assist instead of a kill you are actually better off than before the nerf.

Tbh I wasn't sure if he needed the nerf that much, he still had the same issues in teamfights and I wouldn't say he was viable at all in decent 5v5 play. The latest nerf did hit him hard. No more resets which will suppress his survivability even more. I wouldn't say he's viable anymore in organised 5v5 play; in soloq, well, everything is viable.

Refreshing untargetability has no counterplay. Creating short windows between resets introduces counterplay. He may not be perfectly balanced as he stands (might need stronger early game for organized 5s for example), but I'd say the nerf was deserved.

Fiora and Tryndamere are still better alternatives when it comes to survivability. (Fiora really?! You high? I don't see how that's an issue. Fiora is decent, just the no-escape thing keeps her in the awful tier)

Attack speed per level decreased to 2% (from 2.75%)
Double Strike
Fixed a bug where the second strike would damage targets even when Master Yi was blinded
Meditate
Damage reduction increased at later ranks to 50/55/60/65/70% (from 40/45/50/55/60%)
Wuju Style
Passive attack damage bonus changed to 10% at all ranks (from 7/9/11/13/15%)
Highlander
Now passively reduces the remaining cooldown for Master Yi's basic abilities by 70% on a kill or assist (instead of 18 seconds on kill or 9 seconds on assist)
