Abe Lincoln and King were not founders of the United States. I can understand your disappointment with the current establishment especially in light of recent events.
I think you have this romantic ideal of the United States though and to be honest I'd drop that and drink a nice big cup of what always was and what always will be.
The United States was not founded on the ideals of it's people.
The revolutionary war was very unpopular with the people. The most violent war the United States ever been in was a civil war against it's own people. Whenever voting had a chance to radically change ideals of the government it has been suppressed or changed in a way to limit voters. Even today the wealth of the United States is distributed to the Aryan 1% Master Race.
We were founded on the idea that the people matter but in truth we never did. Do you really want the trolls in solo que having a say in how to run your government?

either way, there is a problem when you let any and everyone vote, and that is to give voice to very dis/misinformed or even ignorant people. there are wills and powers to be controlled, so take a sit and drink a bit more of the usual.

I'm not a politician or a lawyer I'm just some guy who'd rather laugh at a grim situation.
If you follow what I say because I say it with confidence or passion then what's to stop you from following a president or dictator confident or passionate that some evildoing happening in some evil country needs to be vanquished.
So when I speak politically you can take what I say with a grain of salt or with a lot of salt.
Sounds to me though that someone just wants to sound self important by putting another fellow man down though.
