I'm not saying i have a second account to downvote baddie guides, i'm just saying that if i had - i wouldn't get trollvotes on my guides.
I don't even know if it's against the rules or not but that'd be optimal. If it is against the rules use an in-browser proxy site or sumtin.

I never downvote, not because i'm a coward (maybe i am) or a good guy.
If a guide is good, i upvote it, simple as that.
If a guide is not good, but can potencially become, i go to the comments section and say what the author could do to make the guide better.
If a guide is terrible, i don't even bother downvoting it.
I don't think downvoting helps me or the author, so i don't do it. If i can help, i will; if i can't, i don't even waste my time. I also fear being revengevoted, just as anyone else.

I think Meiyjhe and Moon hit the nail on the head. Not locking the thread since it's a pretty harmless discussion so far, albeit probably pointless.

Having alternate accounts on Mobafire is against the rules. >_>
It doesn't help the author, it's supposed to help the community by keeping terrible guides by rising and getting more views than good guides. The guide ranking system is supposed to sift through the guides and highlight the best ones for readers that don't know the difference or at least want help finding a good guide.

Thanks to The_Nameless_Bard for the sig!
^ why would anyone who has a guide risk having their guide downvoted by publicly downvoting and giving a legit reason to give a downvote?
So far all of the down votes on my guide have been anonymous with no reason given and 90% of the down votes I have given have been anonymous. This effectively leads to no guide improvement but I sure as hell wont drop in a guide(That I most likely downvoted) and start giving criticism when I also have a guide I wish to maintain as high as possible.
Thankfully we have people like Sirell and lagger tho

You know, I was going to post a thread like this myself, but decided against it because the community really doesn't care about revenge downvoting. That, or the community realizes it isn't going to change or some other **** :c
Going to expand this post later; might take a while.

I personally think that the voting criteria is very flawed sometimes. People may downvote you for petty reasons (such as coding or simply because you explan higher ELO strats that people aren't used to and hence they think it's bad). It's how the webpage works. Honestly, I think you shouldn't bother yourself for it. If you know that those votes are trollish, just keep promoting your guide. I bet more people will vote it well in the longterm.
Though also, it's true that sometimes if you pull up the trigger too happily this can have consequences to you. That's why I personally only downvote guides when I think they're outright troll guides. As a guide maker myself (I tried an Annie guide long time ago and didn't had very good reviews), it feels bad when people sometimes bash your work and don't even give a reason why, or are very brief in their reasonins. There's always room for improvement, but once you downvoted a guide you gave the guidemaker no chance or motivation to amend himself.
So maybe you should reconsider your voting policy in the future. After all, your own reputation does relate a lot with how much upvoting your guides get (there are bad guides around here with very good reviewing, for instance), though it's true that not always.
I'm not saying that I approve this system, mind you! But this is how it works in most webguide communities.

This **** has been talked about for years, I'm going on 3 years here and I can tell you it gets brought up all the time. It's not going to change, I don't necessarily like it or condone it, but it is what it is. Your argument could also be stronger if you gave examples from other guides, instead of just yours, because you just sound butthurt that people downvoted your guide. I guess if this was such an issue why bring it up now, you've been a member of this community for over a year and a half. This is just a reaction to people downvoting your guide.
Can we get a mod to lock this thread please
