I love Chespin. I took him, and my team is looking pretty baller right now.

Lineup;

Buzz (Quiladin)
Zippo (Charmeleon)
Surge (Raichu)
Chomper (Tyrunt)
Gentleman (Psyduck)
Quaklin' (Farfetch'd)

I've had them all for awhile and have seen no reason to replace one yet.... Yet... Farfetch'd is outliving his usefulness by now...

And @sirell, yea I avoided Fennekin like the plague, knowing he would inevidably look stupid once he evolved. Chespin turned derp on me too, but his final evolution more than makes up for it.

Also whats your friend code thingie?

You're posting on a League of Legends forum. The irony. But hey, not like you're posting on a WoW forum or anything, otherwise that woulda been bad.

Oh, but there's a significant difference between competitive multiplayer games and easy singleplayer TBS games.

The only thing you really have to "grind" in competitive multiplayer games is your own skill.
While in TBS games like Pokemon where there are endlessly spawning enemies you can't rely on your own skill. You HAVE to level things up to progress.

Then there's the even larger issue of the overall difficulty level. In competitive multiplayer games you'll lose a LOT more than in the great majority of singleplayer games. And you have to deal with constantly adapting and intelligent (for the most part..) enemies.
Singleplayer games like Pokemon REAALLY doesn't wanna alienate their players and purposefully keeps the game incredibly easy. I'm pretty sure I can win any fight in the game by spamming one button if I just have a really strong Pokemon. So even if you suck so hard you can't even win at an easy game, DO NOT WORRY, YOU CAN JUST GRIND and then finally tackle that damn rock Pokemon into oblivion..

And if you wanna pull that card of LoL having grind for Champions and runes and such then I'm just gonna go ahead and ask: do you play LoL for runes/champions? Because if you do, then I think you're playing the game for the wrong reason. I don't play for runes. I play for the competitive nature of the game, I play for the greatly varying and challenging experiences you can have against other players.

That was when I still was playing, over a year ago.

I find pokemon quite entertaining. The game may not be perfect but at least it's fun for some to play.
Being more open with games let's you enjoy a lot more stuff :3

The water type one looks pretty awesome. Don't have a 3DS but i'll be playin my friend's after he's done with his.

Lineup;

Buzz (Quiladin)
Zippo (Charmeleon)
Surge (Raichu)
Chomper (Tyrunt)
Gentleman (Psyduck)
Quaklin' (Farfetch'd)

Yeah, I really wanted a flying type and I've had Pidgeot in the past and Fletchling looks pathetic (the basic bird Pokemons are getting a lot lamer compared to Pidgeot and Fearow), so I went with Farfetch'd, who turns out to only be a niche pick. A niche pick which just so happens not to fit into my lineup. I'm thinking of swapping him out for Sigilyph, but then that would mean I might have to swap out my Kirlia, which I intended to evolve into Gallade, since Delphox (Fennekin evo) is already a psychic-type. I was considering evolving Golet into Golurk and teaching him Fly, but I dunno...

And FML, caught and trained a Riolu into a Lucario. Turns out the game gives you a Lucario anyway. So now I'm gonna go beat the game with double Lucario because **** balance. So I ended up swapping out my Kirlia anyway.

It's kinda one of the things about going through first time without knowing anything about the game, though. You just find out things for yourself.

Like how ridiculously OP Fairy types are. What the actual ****.

Current lineup:

Sparky (Raichu)
Hoonohi (Delphox)
Cloud (Blastoise)
Gaim (Farfetch'd)
Luca (Gifted Lucario)
Reno (Original Lucario)

I'll edit in my friend code when I have time. I'm actually currently in my break in between lectures.

Yea I need to do some swaps.. I need to replace my Farfetched and raichu. Im around level 45ish at the 6th gym and they still remain on my team despite being (currently) my weakest pokemon. Ironically Psyduck has ascended to Golduck and become my most useful pokemon (In battles or otherwise).

My Charizard mega X is pretty ****ing awesome too.

Was about to test how my Mega Blastoise works out =D. Having finally fully evolved my Fennekin, I might actually swap it out for a Blaziken (cuz Mega Blaziken). I want to keep my Raichu, though. Exceptionally useful for catching Legendaries - Nuzzle/(Lucario) False Swipe + Flash Flash Flash Flash. Insert Pokeball spams.

But seriously, need to find a viable switch for this Farfetch'd. Might go for that Bird Pokemon in the fighting gym and go for a fighting type team comp, lol. Would need a Poliwrath to round it out though.

Ugh, that's far though... only just finished 3rd badge and about to do 4th. You mean I gotta be stuck with Farfetch'd for 5 more gyms? Allow that.

Eh he's decent enough for what you need him for (Flying attacks and transportation.)

If these were competitive fights I'd advice avoiding the thing like the plague, but it's better than pretty much any other flying type you'd have gotten to this point with no effort or training involved. :p
