Nope. Tattoos are a complete turnoff for me.

I don't get the appeal for tattoos, whacky hairdoos, eccentric dress, etc.

1. I like something so much I have to put it on my body forever or until I want a giant scar shaped like the thing I liked.
-Uh, that's a pretty stupid reason. I love many things, even some things I've liked since I was 4, but you don't see me putting an 8 bit mega man on my shoulder. I commemorate the things I like by doing them. AKA, playing RE1 once a year.

2. I want to express my individuality
-Uh, jacking up your body is the best way for you to express yourself? Why do you have to wear your hobbies on your skin?

3. I'm artistic, my body is art, temple, decoration, etc.
-All right. Knock yourself out. Limit your job opportunities because you want skin designs.

Hey, it's your body, do whatever you want with it. But don't expect me to take you seriously or GET serious with you if you're all inked up.

Was seeing a girl, and on the third date she showed me her tattoos. My thought process went from 'I wonder if this could go somewhere' to 'Meh just get her in the sack and then whatever'.

And for possible job opportunites? GL getting a professional white collar job covered in ink and facial piercings. You'll be lucky if starbucks takes you seriously.

Just saying, you don't need **** in your face and on your skin to be hot, guys OR girls. You just need to have a good personality, a fit body, and MAYBE be somewhat interesting and financially stable and people will be throwing themselves at your feet, though I'm not talking from personal experience (I'm skinny-fat and I'm the least interesting person on the planet)

"I didn't get a pokeball just because I like pokemon.
It represents originality. It's the first pokeball."

Yo, I heard you like tautology so I put tautology in your tautology so you can tautology while you tautology.

"It represents struggle.
It has the lowest catch rate of the other ones, so while some people go through their lives throwing out masterballs, I walk the path with the most struggle, the least advantage, I work for the things I have."

I think it represents pokemon. I'm glad you have this epic deep meaning for your tattoo, but 100% of people that see that will NOT be thinking struggle. They will be thinking 'wow she likes pokemon'. Tattoos are like jokes. If you have to explain them, they fail. Also, what are all the things that you worked and struggled for that you now currently have? Don't have to go into too much detail, but like, grad school? An amazing career? A huge achievement of some kind? Because you seem like you're in your early 20's, and unless you overcame something like heroin addiction or extreme poverty or a disability, not very much the average white 20 something has to overcome in America.

"It represents the thing that made me a gamer, a defining characteristic, one that brought me a lot of hardship as a female."

If gaming caused/causes you hardship, why did you permanently mark yourself as one? It's like, I'm Jewish and there's a lot of anti-semitism in the world, but I would NEVER get a star of david on my body, it's just asking for trouble. I don't need a tattoo to remind me that I'm a jew and you don't need one to remind yourself you're a gamer.

Being a gamer is not a defining characteristic, it's a hobby at best, and a lifestyle choice if you want to be super extreme about it. But a defining characteristic? Not on your life.

"When I wore a dress for the first time to my first school dance, someone sprayed me with a hose and called me a tomboy because I played video games."

Did you have the tattoo and that's why he sprayed you? Also, a hose??? I'm impressed that he could procure one during/inside a school dance.

Yeah, getting sprayed with a hose...just another way they try to keep a game-ah' down. Sorry one person was mean to you one time.

Tattoos are like beliefs. They're extremely important and significant to you, but they mean absolutely squat to everyone else. I don't run around sharing my beliefs and I don't get tattoos because they don't mean anything to anyone but yourself.

I guess g4u that you enjoy your tattoo and it has deep significance to you, but you'll never convince me that they're attractive or un-trashy.

My best friend in the world is COVERED in tattoos. He's a fighter, he's huge, and he's inked. They look amazing, but they're not for me. I'm not sure his motivation, but I think it was an image/philosophy thing. Some tattoos look less lame than others, but at the end of the day, I'm nowhere near convinced they're anything but colored scars that most people end up regretting. Please come back and talk to me when you're 45 and let me know if you are still in love with your poke-ball.

wellp I'm agreeing with throat on this one. Not that I care about what other people do with their faces/bodies. M and also if you're worried about the scars, don't be. Scars are cool.

Tattos in my country are seen as awesome and ballsy by 14-28 years old people. Older people think it's taboo xD

I personally like little tattoos on girls, but not on my body :P

telling gamers to exercise
u r so silly

Hey, I exercise and I'm a huge nerd. (not much, but still)
I'm just saying that it's a much better idea to spend time and effort on something like that than to to spend it inserting metal into your face.

I highly agree with you Throat, but to be honest I find piercings to be just as apalling. You put a metal spike into your body which deals inreversible damage and can get infected quite easily. Atleast tatoos are removable through a rough proceudre, but piercings are permanent.
