His hook is way less powerful than thresh' because it is really short range and doesn't reach through walls.

Why play Naut support when Leona does what he does, but better? Like, he's not even tanky without Titan's Wrath up and Dredge Line is blocked by minions and tanks. Hell, he doesn't even have a stun. Just a minor pull and a root.

Once he hits 6 though, he's got a stun... much like Leona... <_<

I would rather say AP Kog'Maw. And, of course, AP Udyr.

AP Kog, Maybe. Ap Udyr is still silly.

Offense tree is now no longer useful for Ryze and similar champs who don't actually benefit from AP or AD, now that it doesn't give magic penetration. I think Ryze will see a 0/9/21 setup now.

I wouldn't be surprised. What about champions like Singed?

Also I'm curious of your S4 Talon setup ;p

I'll most likely be running 21/9 at the start, that seems like the strongest option from what I can tell, though I haven't had an in-depth look at the utility and defense trees.

I think you should rather go utility than defense, because alchemist and culinary master are better than Juggernaut and Veteran Scars early and lategame it doesn't matter anyway. Block and Unyielding are good, but so are Fleet of Foot and Summoner's Insight. Recovery and Enchanted Armor are ****, while Meditation is still a bit usefull.

Well, the time will show, what to get.

No, it does still provide MPen. Just really deep in the tree and on a mastery that also gives ArPen, so you can't get it without basically going the full 21 points but mages will also get a bonus on autoattacks at the same time.

Vapora, I might consider 19/11/0 instead of 21/9/0, because a fourth point in T5 offense masteries doesn't look that great without AP or crit and the 21st point is kinda' meh, too. That gives you enough points in defense to max out either Hardiness or Resistance, depending on what you need for the matchup.

As for Alchemist, although I agree that it's really good, I'm not sure that it's actually really amazing compared to raw stats. Sure, with Culinary Master, HP pots are worth an extra 35 HP (assuming that the healing rate on the 10% bonus duration is the same), but I'm not sure that justifies going into utility over defense when defense provides raw stats that will scale far, far better into later portions of the game. Or when Block and Unyielding are also going to result in far less damage taken in the first place. It's worth testing, but I think defense is probably going to be better most of the time, since I don't think holding onto (at least) 11 points to put into it is going to be that onerous for a lot of champions.

Fleet of Food in T1 utility is kinda' meh. Virtually everyone has mana (and very few people who don't ever spec into utility anyway), so Meditation is almost always going to be better. 1.5% MS is just never enough to worry about when you could instead be more likely to have mana with which to do stuff. Doing stuff is better than walking faster. Always.

Enchanted Armor is probably going to be very niche, but on people who build full tank it shouldn't be discounted. At 200 armor it's worth 5 armor per point, and that's... Really, really good if you're probably going to build that much armor anyway. Champs who aren't gonna' build very tanky will have to take Recovery, though, if they go anywhere in defense.
