I did filter>filter gallery for the background. Play around with the filters there ;p.
Then I sort of blended the background and some of the render together.
Then turn it black and white, put a gradient map over it and then i set it to lighten and lowered opacity :p.

Sometimes I set them to dodge depending on what I want it to look like. I do dodge for sparkles and the other two for like a fractal overlay on the background behind the render.

The only thing that bugs me is the period that goes over the render .-.
i frowned upon the placement so fiercely that I didn't see that, lol.
