I followed your instructions and moved the text and added gradient layer to the top. I also made the text and the border brighter.
Yeah I think that version is really nice.
If you wanna you can also make a clipping mask over the text so you'd get a nicer color. Control + Shift + E (in photoshop) and then Control Alt G that layer over the text layer. Move the layer around so that Janna's hair goes over where it says Janitsu. I think that'll make it look ever better.

i think i'm done now

The part on the left is dark blue. You could try putting your name in a plain light color (no stroke, no glow, no shadow) somewhere on the left? Then you have a dark patch w/a lighter/white focal point, instead of the image heavily weighted toward the right w/both Janna + the text?
(A corner or edge is also always a good cop out place to stick text.)

I feel like the text isn't quite right on it. :/
I feel the text is a bit far away and makes my eyes go from the text and focal and back again. You could try placing it on the right. Maybe just above her shoulder :/ Still looks pretty awesome though, really like the broken text.

I remade the border and then I tried the fonts that you suggested and moved them next to Janna
I like the one where you went with amplify as the font best I think. Hoooowever I'd set the border to "normal" rather than soft overlay or rather than lowering the opacity, not sure what you went with, and I wouldn't make the outer glow dark if the text itself is dark. It makes it hard to read pretty much. It's still too big as well you should lower it so that the capital letter "J" is as high in pixels as her head. It's not a very complimenting color to be so close to the focal. Go with the more cyan dark blue I would say. When you're finished with the border and text add a gradient layer and set it to lighten or soft overlay (lowering the opacity after that is a good idea) just to even out the colors. Either go with like a dark and light blue gradient or even the orange blue default one would look oaky I think.
Would move text in the other suggested location, as well.
