Nope, but this does not seem like common knowledge. I'd like to see it become common knowledge.
The moment a religious person unknowingly calls his own ways stupid: "And lol. I highly doubt you have magic powers. If you proved it I would believe you, but since you 'refuse to', I choose not to."
But if so many know about it, why is -seemingly- nobody trying to change things?
"I sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the oilfields dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that a person being a helicopter is Impossible and I’m ****ing ******ed but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install rotary blades, 30 mm cannons and AMG-114 Hellfire missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Apache†and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a heliphobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Thank you for being so understanding." - Guuse
"uh, I identify as counterstrike and I find this globally offensive" - ???

Yeah, that seems likely to be the case.

Those are terrible excuses. Do come up with something better..
"We've had a few gloomy years with bad console ports, and what do we get in the light at the end of the console-tunnel? A tablet OS ported to PC." - Atlas Tasume, on Windows 8
MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST
BOYCOTT THE INTERNET?!?!
My solution.
Toshabi: Hey *****! I'm paying too much for my internet.
Customer support: Okay. You now pay $20/mo for a 20mbs connection instead of $50/mo.
This actually works. Kinda.
I have too many other important things going on in my life to care much about a lagspike or two when I'm watching MLP pornography streams. Unless it's during the money shot scenes.
Also that guy's hair is really stupid. If there's one thing I've learned in life, if they have a stupid hair style, they themselves are stupid.

Also, I think the levels of immorality in this thread are astounding. You'd really throw a child off a boat for your own luggage? Wow.

Raise some awareness of what is causing the problem.
ISPs are getting lots of tax-cuts and financial support from the government and are reporting record profits, yet they can't even provide the connection speeds that you pay for?
There's obviously something wrong, and somebody needs to grab these companies by their collar and make them behave.
A nice comment on the topic:"So, we order something from a company, Netflix, we pay another company to deliver that product to our house, comcast, verizon. That product gets delivered damaged or incomplete, despite being shipped whole and undamaged by Netflix. I believe this situation results in a lawsuit."
Edit: oh hell no, that makes no sense in retrospect. It could possibly be compared to a delivery arriving late when you've payed for it to arrive before a certain time.
