However, I still stand firm on my opinion on Sorcerer's Shoes. They are by no means bad, but there are many other items that I see as more cost effective. My philosophy when playing heimer is: Dont get caught in a bad spot unless you're ready for a fight. Heimerdinger can easily win 2v1 fights, as long as you're prepared to do so at any time. Use keen map awareness to ensure top or bottom lane aren't moving to triple or quad gank you. When they move you take a few steps back, as you should with any champion.
Heimerdinger has no real get away ability, so my play style tends to eliminate running from my strategy. If I'm fighting I want to stay as close to my turrets as possible. In the case that I do need to run its up to a well placed CH-1 Electron Storm Grenade and the slow of an UPGRADE!!! turret. If you're caught by too many enemies Sorcerer's Shoes wouldn't have saved you anyway.
I have no help if you miss CH-1 Electron Storm Grenade. Heimerdinger has low mobility, his ability to slow and stun is what compensates for this. Missing a slow or stun post-gank can be fatal as heimerdinger
Maxing Hextech Micro-Rockets after a few points in H-28G Evolution Turret is not recommended, let explain why. Let's say during a fight you get 1 Hextech Micro-Rockets off and you have 2 H-28G Evolution Turret that each use 1 Laster beam and 4 standard attacks. The difference in damage for 1 point in rockets is 30 per rocket for a max of 54. The difference in damage for 1 point in a turret is 7 per standard hit and 25 per laser beam. 4 standard attacks x 7 = 28 x 2 turrets = 56. 2 laser attacks x 25 = 50. 56 + 50 = 106. In this scenario the damage advantage of 1 level in turret compared to missile is 52. *Hopefully in a true fight you will have 3 turrets out and hit a few more times, extending the damage even further* The power of your missiles comes from the AP bonus, which is static across all levels of your abilities.
The damage appeal of missiles is definitely appealing, but don't underestimate the power of Heimerdinger's turrets. People do underestimate his turrets, and that is part of what makes him so strong.
This is my first guide so I truly appreciate your feedback. Let me know what you think about this added information so I can refine a later guide ^_^
Your guide lacks information, might wanna add some more chapters like: Runes, Masteries, Summoner Spells, Match-ups, Teamfights, Gameplay etc.
BTW, I prefer to max W first but I'll put 2 or 3 points into Q first then continue to max it afterwards, how'd you think about it?
