One of the only guide that actually seems very complete and has plenty of updated matchups. Been using this guide for the last 2 games, and it's working really good. You're right about the mobility. One thing I do have to say is that I find building Abyssal Scepter a little better over the Holy Grail.
I also went out of mana a lot.
Thank You!

No Sight Stone? Bro, ditch the Zhonya's for a Sight Stone and light up their jungle. Waaaaaaaay more useful than getting Zhonya's.
Also, the reason a lot supports get the Sweeping Lens is because once they get the Sight Stone they no longer need the lens. So, they swap out their Warding Totem for the Lens so that they can drop down wards and clear them out. Normally you should be doing this in between levels 6-9. Best rule of thumb is pretty much once you and your adc start to roam, grab the stone and swap trinkets.
I've played several ranked games today and noticed that

- interesting guide, but this wouldn't be a build for a serious game I think
- You should definately consider getting "juggernaut" point in masteries, instead of one point in recovery
- With simply chalice you have almost enough mana to spam abilities, your going a bit too far with the mana pool and regen
- too much AP and not enough support items, Zhonya i fairly useless, since almost no one hard focuses the support.
- You should consider getting the mikael's crucible instead of athen's, It will help your ADC a lotttt most likely.
- SImply my main concern with the guide, is your focusing too many on the mana pool, even ap mid's like ryze don't build that much mana pool and regen.
- Finally, your title, will simply get you less upvotes, because they judge you for calling you build the "right way".
So I was playing a match last night with what you said in mind, and you're right. I do have a massive amount of mana, and not only that, but a massive amount of regen too, so thanks for that. I am going to be exchanging one of the mana items. Also I'll be getting rid of
I also changed the title and realized you were right, haha. I am also considering getting
It's not hard to do well outside of ranked games. I once played played a 1v1 versus a silver guy with ADC Fiddlesticks vs Caitlyn and did well. Does that mean it's viable? No.
Expanded mind only gives +5% mana. On a full mana pool (taking a realistic 6-item build into account) of 1k mana, that will only be 50 mana. That's not enough to cast one spell. Replace it with
Also, do the math on
And no, all your AP items aren't viable because they're not supporting the team. Sona only has a 1.2 AP ratio on a full combo rotation (+25% if you take into account the heal) which is pretty bad compared to other AP champions. Because of that it's not worth to focus a lot on AP.
Lich bane however adds an extra AP ratio to your full combo, and considering sona has low cooldowns on every spell you'll get lots of lich bane procs. You'll wanting to be using your basic attacks a lot anyway because of power chord so it doesn't go to waste.
Thanks for the feedback :) I am still learning a lot about this game, and this is one of the reasons why I wanted to post this guide before it was even finished.
I didn't know... or understand
As for the AP, the only reason why I focused on AP is because I felt like I would hit harder with my Q and heal more with my W, but if it doesn't make a huge difference then I guess you're right, but I've been playing game with level 30's and ranked and have been doing really good with 0 deaths and over 20 assists and I feel like I am healing a lot and hitting hard.
When I play her with this build I tend to really good, so this is my build, just thought I'd share it with everyone to see if it works for anyone else.

When I play her with this build I tend to really good, so this is my build, just thought I'd share it with everyone to see if it works for anyone else. Also could you explain what is good about
Would you consider the Rod and Staff early game items then? And what masteries should I replace the ones you mentioned with?
You're right about
Now you probably got your friends to upvote this, but you might want to consider some more realistic feedback:
* Sona is a support, not an APC. Hence you should also build her supportive. Her AP scalings aren't that good and if you're even planning on building her AP,
* Rod of Ages and Archangel Staff aren't MID GAME items. They require time to stack and aren't cost-efficient if you buy them after ~20 minutes into the game.
* Masteries are spec'd badly: expanded mind, tough skin and enchanted armor are useless masteries in your setup.
* Don't publish incomplete guides.

you shouldnt publish with so much information missing and you should also turn on C2V
Thanks for the feedback, and I published because I see a lot of other people have EVEN MORE incomplete guides and they are published, so I thought I had enough since I had more than some others.
